A smile is an entire facial expression.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Now that I've thought of it I can't get rid of the idea that one of the images should actually be of L.H.O.O.Q. <_<
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAdding that in could work...
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Never heard of it before, but looking at it, maybe? Kind of a shame it's black-and-white, though.
Moon◊Hmmm? It's not: LHOOQ, about a third of the way down the page.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It's also the page image on Girls with Moustaches.
It was B&W on Wikipedia. Still, color image is good.
As for Girls with Moustaches, maybe first panel of Loose Canon, page 9 from Team Fortress 2?

Moon◊L.H.O.O.Q. might give the page a bit of culture, haha. I support that.
I like it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. If it's in use on Girls with Moustaches it should stay there.
I could argue that it wouldn't be a duplicate image because it would be on Creepy Changing Painting less than 1/7th of the time.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWe talked about this as part of a staff meeting today, so hopefully action will be taken soon.

If I get time tonight, I'm going to get the suggestions in this thread together and submit the final proposal to Eddie for inclusion on the page.
How is it going to appear in the page? As special code, or as a gif. that is brought past the no-ani code in the uploader with admin magic?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAFAIK, it's gonna reuse the special code that the forums had around last Halloween, where scrolling the entirety of the image off the screen causes the image to change, such that when you scroll it back, it's different.
Moon◊^^ Admin magic. I don't know if it will even show in the source code. I'm pretty sure that it will be locked in somehow so that it can't simply be edited or removed without Admin-level access.

I wonder if we want to add a comment in the page source like "What, you thought the image is here? Look behind you..."
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, a stinger to that effect is definitely going in...that actually works pretty well.
That comment should be hidden in the source. The stinger is better as "Is the image an example? Look above you..." or somesuch.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman% [[TheTreacheryOfImages There never was an image here all along.]]
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableBecky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
Is there any way a moderator can lock parts of an article? Such as just the image?
Nope. And I don't know why it would be necessary.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe script has been finalized and sent to Eddie for implementation.
That's a good point. I think it might also be related to the Kuleshov Effect. If she's looking in a different direction, it draws our eyes to a different part of her context, putting that part into more focus for us and leading us to project slightly different thoughts and priorities into her. There's a world of difference between 'reasons she might be smiling mysteriously at the viewer' and 'reasons she might be smiling mysteriously offstage left'.
