It's going pretty well so far.

But should I wait before sending Kurtz in and instigating the plot or wait a bit longer? I'm fine either way.

[up] As far as austrian is concerned I can see how this works. Not so much for most about every male accent.

Also, my last post on the rp is the most control freak thing I've ever written but through the sweat I think we can all follow it. Or am I alone?

Sorry but I couldn't help but illustrate how infirm the Captain is and imaginary musical sequences (which clash with the mood of the piece) seem like the perfect plan. I have a few other experimental tricks up my sleeve, and assuredly less brash.

Remember this is him at his highs, straight out of a Gilbert and Sullivan production, humming or rather singing of the glories of war. Just wait for his upcoming lows.

On the topic of presidents, I must insist that Theodore Roosevelt show up at some point.

Yeah, I don't know how to gracefully write a sudden riot so this probably came out very akward. Things should return to semi-casual normalcy at the ship, so feel no fear of this pleasant conversation ending.

For those of you watching at home we have a full war going on in the streets, a bi-polar Captian Kurtz fail to be recognized by his shipmates and the players are mentioning a side-quest of their own. It seems Josef is setting himself up as The Lancer and Captain Kurtz is in the ironic position of having no control over what his crew does. I'll have to start thinking of an interesting way to restore the status quo but until then am definitely going to be surprised by how things shape out.

I'll call an end to the Prologue and start chapter 1.

I did not get any P Ms. Maybe there was a typo in the address?

I've been busy the last few days and neglected to add this to my watchlist. I've not been that inactive, I think the biggest gap in posts was between the 10th and 15th which was my exams period.

How's the easiest way for me to pop in?

Edit: It's the evidently, which makes things harder. I'm willing to either drop or wait it out for a while. It's on the watchlist now anyway, so I'll be better able to keep up.

We're all in the bar still and will be departing soon, so after getting caught up there shouldn't be a problem with whenever.

Generally, bumps take place in the discussion section, at least in my experience.

(I'm still following things, just waiting for someone to react to Josef's statement).

"You can't afford to take a break for a day, can you" said sonofkong as he engaged in the arcane act of thread necromancy.

"No you can't, " responded sonofkong "But, it was a busy weekend full of updates and the majority of people were dyeing of exhaustion, it's best that this happened. You at least slipped in some reading, it's important that you get a balanced-" "I get it." said sonofkong "I'll go back to retrying that last chapter of Ulysses for the third time, and stop by the store to put some masonry in the fourth wall." "Oh yeah, and when you say you read that chapter for the third time, you're implying it's been a long time since updates were made, and that's just rude." "It possibly came out that way, but I haven't tried reading it for weeks, and I'm glad everyone has something to retire to after a cluster of a weekend. Now again, need some plaster for the fourth wall; stat." "Sure thing preciouses, we loves the plasters and we bests keep the fourth wall." "It tricks us, it plans to use our accounts while we are gone. Filthy dirty fat, sonofkongses." "We admits it, we tries it many times, but can't seems to pulls it off with you gone preciouses."

...

Dude, the game's just started and will take some time to get completely off the ground. Chill out.

[up]Yeah, apologies for a rushed (what was meant to be) fourth wall joke after a long night out at the movies. What incredibly long movie that was I'll leave up to you. I meant nothing by it and pretty much said, It's strange for nothing to happen but expected after such a rush of text as had happened. I'll overlay the text with a description of the background characters reacting or something, shouldn't mess with subsequent posts already written at all.

[up][up][up] Exactly, I've been pretty over the last few days, leaving little time to rp.

Speaking of bah humbug, wasn't there someone who wanted to sign up as Scrooge?

[up]I R Ped Bindlestick and he said he isn't interested. If we were in a location that wasn't already mentioning like 20 npc's I'ld have Scrooge make a cameo but that would be too much. I have a semi clever way to recognize the season but it's rather small.

I totally understand it's going to be insanely busy and I'm glad we have something to retire to.

It's hard to imagine any character taking Kurtz seriously when he persists in making an ass of himself.
