God, this is insane... Guess the author wanted the class to something really over the top to compensate for the sudden change of atmosphere now that they are trying to save the teacher instead of killing him.

I hope we see Nagisa in space. Imagine if they get arrested...the cops would be like whut after hearing their plan

Now, I think I kinda know what Matsui-sensei wants to convey about Nagisa. Nagisa isn't really talented in killing or disguising his bloodlust or whatever.

Nagisa's talent belies on his empathy.

Okay, before anyone says "lolwut", this is definition of empathy from The Other Wiki, while this is definition of sympathy.

The idea is, because how f***ed up his environment, he had to grow empathy and detachment sense just to be a sane human being. Empathy is needed to understand how differing social environments works, while detachment sense is needed so that those empathy didn't change into sympathy, therefore, robbing him his personality and ability to adapt to very different environment.

And the best way to do that? Be a Yes-Man, be as "small" and unassuming as possible. See his characteristic and actions.

It's also worth noting that when he got accepted into a group, that can accept him for what he is, he develops some sort of sympathy with them, but in same case, also cut him off from empathy from threats against his group, shown with what happened to poor Takaoka.

And Karma, instinctively, known this, but he got his appropriation kinda wrong: Nagisa is better seen as co-exist parasite rather than dangerous predator, since on normal situation, he would be harmless, even helpful, but if you neglect your defense, well....

Personally, I think it's nice that the result of all that characterization is a snake-themed protagonist who doesn't have the usual "negative" personality traits that are usually associated with it.

The idea of the kids sneaking into a high security space station is feasible, but actually going into space? That's...very unsafe, to say the least.

They'll most likely send the two most physically durable guys: Terasaka, Karma, and/or one of the class reps. Nagisa is too fragile for that, and they'll need him to stay behind and ambush the security guards.

Sending musclebound hunk is actually kind of bad idea. I mean, they still need oxygen, food and water, after all. Better sending someone with small, wiry physique, preferably someone who can consciously manage his/ her body metabolism.

Unpopular Opinion Time: I am glad they are going in a more story focused direction instead of just small individual arcs. It's time to make Shiro an actual threat

For some reason it's getting increasingly difficult to continue caring about this. I'd find it funny if they both died since this is just supposed to be a test run.

^^To me it seems you'd prefer it if it would be less shonen and end up tragically <_<

Honestly i kinda want AC to get darker. Especially because the stakes are getting higher and higher.

Honestly this series just keeps pushing my Willing Suspension of Disbelief more and more to its limit.

It's disappointing that the launch pad was so easy to infiltrate. And that we're having yet another arc featuring Nagisa and Karma.

They should've just sent Terasaka and Itona so we can see their vitriolic buddy cop shenanigans, but hey, you can't send the B-list characters to something this important, I suppose.

The Mach 23 bit at the end was very sweet, though. It made me go "D'awwww" out loud.

Sooo... Has everyone heard about this Assassination Classroom t-shirt thing? "Keep Calm and Kill Your Teacher." And now there's a petition to stop Amazon from selling them.

I find myself watching this situation with bemusement. On the one hand, threats against peoples' lives aren't okay. And despite what some people may be saying, whether it's in context or not doesn't make one iota of difference. The context is exactly what it sounds like at first glance. On the other hand, the people who made the petition are the worst kind of obnoxious moralizers.

Wearing something like that to school is like walking into an airport with a "Keep Calm and Bomb the Airplane" T-shirt.

It's just an overall terrible idea, regardless of the intent and the source material.

It was not "OOOWWWNNN" for me because the kids don't seem really concerned and saddened by the possibility of the plan fails. They are just "oh, okay, if it doesn't work, we'll kill him because that is our main goal, pass me the Doritos, please". The invasion of the station does not seem difficult either (tickle attack? seriously?), so when Nagisa says "to us your life is more than just teaching material" it sounds artificial.

I've been looking into the laws that govern outer space to see if the kids have broken any of them or if nobody even bothered to make a law against stationjacking. Well, it seems that the best answer out there is that the same principles governing crime on the open ocean would likely apply, which means that Nagisa and Karma are now ninja pirate astronauts. Also, they've violated Article VI of the Outer Space Treaty (and yes, that's really what it's called) which says "The activities of non-governmental entities in outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, shall require authorization and continuing supervision by the appropriate State Party to the Treaty."

AC will never bring this up but it doesn't care about the fact they have broken laws. Because Wacky Devlopment

As much as I like the zaniness of the first season, was fairly surprised that I liked most of the cast, does anyone else hate it when Nagisa narrates?

"We're assassins, we live our lives on the edge of a blade." -groan- (says the junior-high student who's been training for less than a year)

Also, peeking at the above, does the plot really go anywhere? Because Season 2's finale is giving me that "won't be picked up for a 3rd season" vibe.

Yeah, some Plot! happened recently but it's kinda dumb. I'm considering dropping the series.
