"Some things can only be experienced" How much of that is true?

You know I had been that there some things that cannot be explained and can only be experienced. Much of the human experience is relative to the individual's experience but how of that is actually true?

Hm. Some things which can't be fully explained might be gender dysphoria, nostalgia, and aging.

Any sensation (tastes, smells, colors, pain, tickle, sex).

Try explaining purple to a colorblind person.

Things are only explained by reference to something already understood. And for some things there are no analogies.

But what if you're dyslexic?

Yeah, gender dysphoria is rather hard to explain, which is why some cis people just don't get it.

You know what's also hard to explain? Why you're religious/not religious. Today somebody asked me why I was an atheist. It was rather hard to explain in words other than 'I just don't believe in God'.

When people ask if I believe in god, I tell them I haven't seen evidence for his existence beyond simply being there, so I shrug and go back to playing minecraft.

There's evidence in that though, in that you are God in this world of Minecraftia!

It's also pretty hard to describe what feeling close to God is like. That's something you have to experience to understand.
