They should probably re-create the whole experience for non-American viewers. Have the national anthem sung, have a half-time show, play some fake ads...

Because EA is evil, it's now two on two instead of three on three online, so Geoff and Ray had to sit out the actual game.

It becomes clear pretty quickly that Michael and Gavin did not stand a chance without Ray. Figures that the one time Geoff wins a Madden game with Gavin is when Geoff doesn't actually play. Angry Ray was a phenomenal fucking sight.

Rustled Ray is best Ray.

Ray practically had a Rage Quit; he was so frustrated he took over Gavin's controller in the final seven minutes of the video.

He gets a 21-yard touchdown pass, sacks a Seahawk who caught the ball after Ray punted, forced a fumble and recovered the ball after said sack, and scored a second touchdown in less than 15 seconds.

And just like that, with under a minute left in the game, the Lads go from 7 points to 21 just from Ray being in the game. Dude even got an interception at the very end and had the final play of the game (which wasn't much, but fuck it).

I am Irish, and do not know much of this game Americans call football despite it using hands.

All I know is that someone has won the football, and they are happy today.

Another detriment to the Lads is that Gavin wasn't quarterback. Considering he barely knows how to do that, him playing any other field position was never going to end well.

I like how Ryan was actively rooting for Ray at the end.

I love how Gavin couldn't remember what color his icon was xD

In Minecraft, I'm assuming? I'm kinda impressed how far ahead Micheal was of Ryan in kills. (Although Gavin being at the top of deaths just makes sense)

By the way, in real life, it was New England, not Seattle, who won the Super Bowl.

Granted, this special deserves an asterisk because the Lads were fucked without Ray from the get-go. Geoff even said he didn't care if it was wrong, and his team won.

Well, if Ray had gotten a minute extra time, it would've been the correct result: Patriots come from behind to beat the Seahawks.

Just in case you guys don't know, Monty has been hospitalized for some reason. I hope he's okay :(

Rest in peace, Monty. Never really watched your stuff, but you will be missed.

...I don't know if I'll be able to listen to the podcast this week, if they even decide to have one. It's going to be too sad, them trying to be cheerful when someone in the company just died.

So Monty died.

Don't really know what to say.

I'm going to miss him.

I haven't watched much of Roosterteeth's original stuff ever since RVB Season 8, so I can't really say that I'm hurt on a personal level. But I know a lot of people that do, and I'd just like to shoot out my condolences to the man's family. He was an amazing animator, and I hope whoever takes up his role can honor his work.

Basically this. I can only imagine Monty's departure has left a massive, unholy gaping void among the people of Rooster Teeth, and I wish nothing but the best for his friends, family, and fans.

No videos today. They just want us to remember Monty.

To say I am sad would be an understatement.

Though they have scheduled for Podcast #309 to be live on Youtube today, with the description saying it's a special edition. Normally the livestream is sponsors only, and not on Youtube.

At PAX South, I got a picture with the RT people. I asked them to all blink in the picture. They didn't, and it's one of my favorite memories from the convention.

I asked them to blink because I met Monty last year at San-Japan, where he went with his wife. I got to talk to him and his wife a little, and got my picture with him. I blinked in the picture and looked like a total dork. Again, one of my favorite pictures from the con.

We'll miss you.
