I don't even think Edgar is a cow, strictly speaking. The cow is just a component of Edgar. Edgar is a pit with a cow in it.

I would love it if Edgar is the pit and not the cow. Given Ryan's questionable state of mind, he'd probably use that as a loophole.
Honestly, I don't see how Edgar will ever be free, unless someone forces Ryan to stop jailing cows.

Edgar is just Ryan's thralls. The cow, the chicken, the sheep and pig from Hot Foot/Hoof. So you could say the rest of AH were Edgars for this Let's Play.
