So the artist is aware of our use of the image, but doesn't even hint at being displeased with it. If that were the case, I'd pull it immediately, but it's not.

Let's ask for explicit permission here. I'd rather not gamble about copyright law - I've heard that it can be a minefield.

Still, it's polite to ask.

Actually, since "Noncommercial use" is covered by this site's license, it's not copyright infringement as long as we credit him.
