Just a Face and a Caption: Overlord Jr

It's just Bowser Jr. there standing, typical JAFAAC. Finding a picture where both the overlord and the jr are there shouldn't be too hard; a quick search gave me this one◊ for example.

Yeah, especially the "jr" part seems to be missing.

The suggestion is an improvement, but it seems a little busy.

I like the improvement, I just wish that Bowser Jr was the main focus.

I was sad I couldn't find a picture of the Overlord and the Overlad.

I'm all for a Bowser + Jr. pic, if we can find one that shows them both and isn't too crowded (the previous suggestion, IMO, is a bit too crowded).

If not, we should keep the current image. I'm told there's an exception granted to JAFAAC and related rules if the characters involved are especially famous (as in, "instantly recognizable to a large majority of people who live in areas that could, ostensibly, access this website"). As the main villain of one of the longest-running and best-selling video game franchises ever, Bowser's famous enough, and Junior looks similar enough to him, that it flies with me IMO.

Your bar for "famous" is too low. More like Jesus, Mickey Mouse, Robin Hood. Not Bowser, and certainly not Bowser Jr. Even Mario probably isn't well-known enough to assume most readers know he's usually The Hero (though it wouldn't take much context to establish that).

Perhaps, but that image doesn't illustrate the trope very clearly, and he's more of a subversion, both he and his father. Overlords, yes, villains, no.

Hmm, true. Plus picturing him with his father would be spoilery. Wish I had a better picture. I just think of Disgaea whenever anyone says "Overlord".

I like it.

That's not bad, although the connection isn't quite as evident as it is with Bowser and Jr.

Well, they both have the same shade of yellow sclera and purple skin, even if King Zarkon has no hair and bat ears.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Bowser picture (plus in any case, Voltron is less famous than Mario), but if you really want to put up a different picture...

Even being told about it, I don't see it. I mean, there's blood and... something.

Eitherway, like the Voltron pic, Bowser one is okay, I wished Bowser Jr wasn't lost all the way in the background. The purple... thing is terrible.

Welp! That post actually contained a pair of suggestions! (This◊ and this◊)

As I said, aything's better than the Voltron pic, because, as it stands, it's terrible.

The purple pic would be better if the characters were in different poses...as it is, I had to do a double-take to make out the smaller one's head. As is, I prefer either of the other suggestions to it.

The hockey one is better since Bowser junior is not practically hidden in the busy image. Prolly my second best choice after the Voltron one. Dunno but the hockey kinda undermines the whole evilness

The Voltron pic is awful. As someone who has never watched the series, I don't see their evilness or family relation at all.
