He also defeats Dooku alone after Obi-Wan is knocked out. Dooku wasn't disarmerd prior to that.
Dooku never felt like a serious threat to me (Christopher Lee is a great actor, but its hard to find him intimidating when he keeps jogging into his scenes looking out of breath.) Other people may disagree, but Anakin defeating him never seemed that impressive. And he's the toughest guy Anakin kills in the movie.
As for Anakin defeating the toughest swords-master in the Jedi Order, that should really have been something that was called attention to. Anakin killing on guy in a tiny hologram that other characters are watching isn't impressive or defining, especially when it requires knowledge of supplemental material to know who the guy is and how tough he is supposed to be. Its no wonder I don't remember it.
Anakin defeating adult Jedi should have been a stronger focus, not a minor detail.
Dooku summarily hands Anakin and Obi-Wan their asses in Attack of the Clones. He's only outclassed by Master Yoda, the strongest Jedi of his time and possibly of all time. Anakin defeating him is no mean feat.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."And yet Yoda could not defeat Palpatine.
The realization he is not that strong, was the reason he went into exile.
Though I always saw their duel as more of a inconclusive draw. In a more favorable scenario, I believe Yoda could have beaten him (or at least led to a Taking You with Me situation).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."IIRC Lee wanted to do his own stunts so that may be why Dooku seems a bit underpowered.
Lee is a championship fencer and that influenced Dooku's entire fighting style, but he still had plenty of stunt doubles.
As for Anakin, he defeated Dooku, an admittedly old man but nonetheless established as a Master Swordsman who swiftly defeated him in the previous film. Anakin also directly lead the attack on the Jedi temple. Yes, the clone troopers ensured he had support, but we had direct confirmation that he still fought many Jedi and killed them in 2v1 (or more) combat. Cin Drallig is All There in the Manual but adding that information doesn't negate what is already shown, that Anakin is at least one of the most powerful Jedi.
Yeah, in the old canon the guy he was shown beating in the hologram was the head-lightsaber-teacher-guy at the temple so he was doubtless pretty good.
He also impaled the annoying librarian from Episode II. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

@Gaon: What defeated Palpatine? Not a more skillful jedi, but his weakness. His overconfidence that everything will go exactly as he planned and his servant remaining loyal.
Defeated not by a warrior, but by his greatest weakness.

Looks like we will get some more info in a month's time:
I just want one proper trailer, and I could continue waiting in peace.
Define a "proper" trailer - I found that last one as a particular example how to make a trailer; suspenseful, implying instead of directly showing the audience, and not bothering to mention any details of the plot with the use of minimal dialogue between characters.
Yeah, the last Force Awakens teaser really was a good example of how to make a trailer: Don't basically spoil the plot of the movie firsthand.

Pretty sure we are getting a theatrical trailer at SDCC for the following reasons:
- One: It is SDCC, this is where the major stuff is usually shown.
- Two: TFA panel is in Hall H; companies typically only reserve that particular Hall if they are showing movie clips or a trailer.
- Three: The SDCC panel is exactly one week before the release of Ant-Man which has long been rumored to have a TFA trailer attached to it.
- Four: It is also roughly five months prior to TFA premier and most movies' first theatrical trailers are released about six months or so prior to the showing.
I still really want that trooper set. A lot of those parts look wonderful for Mo C work.
but HOW?My Own Creation?
I assume that most of their gear is going to be imported from the stock Imperial Stormtrooper's that they were based upon. Honestly, I would like to see a new foot soldier look for the Rebellion/New Republic - the characteristic fleet trooper is appropriate for shipboard settings, but is pitifully ill-equipped for actual ground operations.
Oh my god. Ackbar's back? Yes!!!.
And I don't care about Greg Grunberg.
I thought Ackbar died in ROTJ.
No? Why would he?
Nope? The only one who died was random A-wing pilot, whose sacrifice brought down the Executor.
The Imperial admiral died, though. Poor Piett.
The recording Obi-Wan and Yoda watches. Anakin kills the best blademaster in the order(played by the guy who taught the cast how to fight IIRC).
