Well, the important part is that we agree that entropy has bad taste.
Check out my fanfiction!Honestly, but Tonari, Kamisama and Say I love You are better than this.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI forced myself watch Ouran and Kaichou. I never regreted it. I read whole Bunny drop, but anime were too much for me. Shoujou animes are too... .... ... Shoujo-like. It's not bad but I weren't born as shoujo. Ëven though my name were supposed be oringaly Nicol. I am shounen (or maybe not anymore as I am 24).

Shoujo tend to be better than Shōnen on romance, while shonen is usually more fun. Then we have seinen which combines the best from them.
Josei, on the other hand, seems to take the Slice of Life portions of it and add some Slice of Life to it. If that's not enough, it fills it out with some Slice of Life. I got bored of all josei series I watched.
For shonen series, I tend to prefer those with romance (or other philosophical/emotional themes), as they tend to be written for a slightly older audience than shonen action series. This one definitely qualifies for that, though they've not dug very deep so far (but if the pit is very neat).
Check out my fanfiction!Yes I agree with that (I also agree with that thng about enthropy...). Personaly like Seinen fitted in shonen settings. About josei weren't XX Xholic very good? (though it's genre tag seems to be changing web by web, so I read it as Seinen as well...)
This show isn't shoujo, though. There are romanceish elements so far, but they serve the drama, not the other way around. I think that change is to its benefit. I could actually see the main character not ending up with anyone, which is refreshing.
I like that the abrupt revelation of Shiina's fame was followed by an abrupt turn for the dramatic; the dramatic structure mirrors Sorata's feelings. It felt like an episode from much later into the season, and that's about the best compliment I can give this kind of show.

xxxHolic is Seinen.
It was abrupt? I thought it was more or less expected. Maybe not the most common way to pace a series, but the alternative would just drag out things too much.

Since my "moratorium" doesn't forbade anything from Ep 1 and 2 at all...
You know, if there's one single thing that I'm requesting a 2-month rest for this series, it is this. The last time when personal gifts were Played for Drama in an anime that I watched (which was 10 years ago), (depending on how you define those tropes) it pretty much broke me and caused an intermittent BSOD for 5 years. There's a reason that I stick to Slice of Life.
That anime in question was Detective Conan : Phantom of Baker Street, where a character that I considered escapist was killed off (Driven to Suicide!) 5 minutes into it, and there's no lack of deconstruction of his case of Child Prodigy...

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaBunny Drop was Josei, right? That one was very good.
But yeah, exceptions to the rule aside, if you are not in the target audience, you have little business reading Josei.
I am feel same about shoujou (though there are some mangas I am capable reading)
Anyhow, back on topic: Pretty good episode. Not a whole lot of funnies (and those that were there felt a bit out of place), but it had some good character drama.
More of that, please.
Episode 3:
- Overall, I like the momentum. It's the third episode yet it feels like it's an episode in the latter part of the season. Time will tell if this continues.
- Sorata's voice actor is really good. Highlight is when Sorata was panting.
- Jin and Misaki's relationship. Urgh. It hurts. "For someone so close, she's far away." Urgh.
- To make up for it the start of the date peepers portion was hilarious. Misaki's genki-ness is growing on me.
- Jin really had it rough this episode. He took out some of his stress on Sorata, but then he has to face that he's not at the same level as Misaki, denying him satisfaction not only professionally but also romantically.
- One scene of note is when Sorata stops himself from saying "Work hard" to Shiina. A really nice way of getting his inferiority complex across, and gives more meaning for when he actually does say "Work hard" to Shiina at the end of the episode.
- Basically, this episode hits a lot of the right notes. Well played.
Actually, episode 4 is pretty clever, the way the Shiina's manga reflects their characters the other way around.
It really brings out the contrast between their characters (i.e. the one with no dreams of the future and the one lacking a strong desire or character).
It's as good a way as any to say "This guy should just make up his mind".

"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."You misspelled a spoiler tag.
I'm not sure I think it brought the contrast out, but that probably has more to do with how I think it's obvious anyway.
I kinda liked the episode. I like Mashiro in a way I like people who think differently.
Check out my fanfiction!I've dropped this.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. This is apparently a very divisive series.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaReally?
Episode 4: At this point I consider this show better than the other JC Staff anime of this season.
- Sorata neglects to tell Mashiro she's cute. Dense leads, never change.
- The core of Sorata's dilemma was obvious from the get go, so nice to see it's resolved already!
- When Mashiro learned that she didn't win the manga competition, we cut to Sorata's slight smile, which abruptly disappears. Excellent use of "show, don't tell." Though Sorata spells it out later on. Still, that feeling of relief when someone fails... can't say I don't know that. Humans are complicated, as Jin points out.
- It was somewhat interesting to see the issue explored via Mashiro's manga. It was decently executed, but it's still rather unsubtle.
- "I wish one day he'll turn to me." D: Give the damn necklace already, Jin.
- Akasaka is a pretty cool guy for someone who doesn't leave his room.
- Mashiro insists on a first name basis with Sorata, and hints at her attraction to the boy. Yey!
- D'awww, Sorata is keeping Mashiro's tanabata wish, and it's even sort of a replacement for the "Escape Sakurasou" banner. Go, boy! Reach for your dreams!

well, seeing as a major plot point has now been somewhat resolved at ep 4, i wonder where we are going now.
I'm actually surprised she trying to take up manga at all. She seemed to be clueless about what emotions are (which is why she always appears emotionless), and how can she do creative writing that way...
Plot hole...
She seems to be interested in learning about emotions, though. Could be why she wants to do manga in the first place.
I might disagree anyway. She isn't good at displaying emotions, but she's not stupid. And in certain ways she's probably less oblivious than the main guy.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."
You may have a point. If she wants to draw shoujo, that means she's read it and found it interesting...
She's very selectively perceptive. She has shown a surprising insight several times before. In other areas, however, like getting dressed on her own, she's almost completely clueless.

Oh, my bad. I am not able watch them, though I can admit it's quality. First episode of Tonari were good and I know that that other show is also popular.
