I didn't actually have much of a problem with them, but yes, that's an example. As the story wanted a Tolkien feel, it added an equivalent to Tolkien elves, except that Tolkien went into detail about how not perfect elves were, which Dangerous Business failed to do.
Plus how Tolkien Elves fit the setting, and were mystical magical creatures because they were the only race with any major magic.
Versus simply being better then all the other magical races, because... Elves.
I'm sure most of you have already heard about the comparison between my little pony and Donald trump's wife's speech by now.
Yes, why bother with this tread? it's in the main one.
My mistake.
Ugh, please tell me they're not going to have the Mane 6 pettily bickering over civic issues again.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.Especially since it's a Foregone Conclusion. One of the ponies running is named "Mayor Mare". In a world where everyone is named for their abilities, that's a giant "Elect me!" sign.
Reaction Image RepositoryAre we sure "Mayor" is her name and not her title?
Well, if it isn't, her name is just "Mare", which is a pretty weird name even by pony standards.
Reaction Image RepositoryHer first name is actually "Old Gray", but she never liked it. Her parents insisted she would grow into it.
"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkMaybe that's why she dyes her mane.
Reaction Image Repository20 holes... and she still writes books on the side, that's a strong determination.
Adventuring alone doesn't pay the bills.
There was apparently a table read from the movie, as well as a new character.
Megan also hinted at the possibility of a Celestia episode. Man, I hope so; it's been six seasons, stop dicking me around.
"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkSo assuming that picture is not the character, what the heck are hippos supposed to look like in MLP style?
This song needs more love.Queen of hippogriffs or hippocampi I'm betting.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Sia?!
...I'm cool with this.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.Oh, I didn't even think that it wasn't a hippopotamus. Those do make more sense.

This song needs more love.Well, "hippo" is Greek for "horse", after all.

New possible synopsis for "Buckball Season", which airs in September. If the synopsis is accurate, then this is something I've been curious to see—a story that pairs up Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie together! I don't think we've really had a story that focused on the two of them as a pair yet, outside of some scenes in Filli Vanilli and Putting Your Hoof Down (and Pinkie was paired with Rarity more in the latter). What I think could be interesting about a story focusing on the two of them together is that in some ways, they're complete opposites (mainly on the extrovert/introvert scale), and Pinkie outright annoys and/or frightens Fluttershy several times (off the top of my head, the instances that come to mind are most obviously Filli Vanilli, the "I'm a year older than you" comment from Griffon the Brush Off, Pinkie's party cannons scaring the animals in Castle Sweet Castle, and Pinkie scaring Fluttershy with a surprise in The Last Round Up). The first Equestria Girls movie shows this too with their human versions having a conflict over Pinkie bringing things like fireworks to an animal shelter event.
Also, the idea of the two of them being on a sports team together is interesting in itself. Pinkie does seem pretty athletic, in more of a bouncy dancer way, and Fluttershy was willing to compete in the Equestria Games, so she's not opposed to being part of a sports team either, although her stage fright/performance issues might come up again here. Also, I'm curious how Applejack and Rainbow Dash are going to behave as coaches, too, and how Pinkie and Fluttershy get the designation as being the best buckball players instead of them, since they're usually the most athletic of the Mane 6.
I'm definitely curious to see how Fluttershy is such a good ball player.
This song needs more love.Well a lot will depend on just what the sport entails. But fear can be a good motivator, maybe she's absolutely untouchable as a QB because she's so good at running away and avoiding ponies. Or her protection instincts and repressed anger issues come out ala Waterboy. But yes be interesting to see how it works.
This episode seems like it'll be interesting! I wouldn't have expected Fluttershy to be good at buckball, but I guess she's full of surprises. Oh, and this episode will be the first one that has Andrea Talking to Herself for most of it.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Well, way back in "Dragonshy" she did have a helmet as part of her armor.
