They better make her redemption work better than they did in the end of Season 5. I want to be able to discuss her without a goddamn flame war popping up.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? That soon? OK. I'm in.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThis was a really short inter-season hiatus. Well, I'm definitely not complaining.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Years and years of constant ignorance to change and fear-mongering in a small town = 1 second of redemption by a talk-down?? Not likely?
If they could make Discord's redemption work, they can make Starlight's work. I'm just hoping they figure out how.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Sunlight Shimmet was in a similar position post EG. If they made it work there then can make it work in the show where they can devote more time to it.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I just realized I made a rhyme!
Discord didn't completely make friends with the Mane 6 until several more of his episodes. He's STILL trying to understand how friendship works. Hell it took Twilight even longer to warm up to him.
I trust the writers to do a better job of writing her this time. They've shown themselves easily able to fix their screw ups of a past season by using the next season to flesh things out.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah, so far the show has been very good with redemption. If a character's redemption falls flat the first time, they usually make up for it later as we've seen with Discord and Sunset Shimmer. Starlight Glimmer seemingly being reunited with Sunburst has quite a lot of potential so I'm looking forward to that.
My concern at this point, though, is our new alicorn baby. Unsurprisingly, the new trailer is giving a lot of fans Baby Poof flashbacks and I could see this going bad if Flurry Heart ends up becoming annoying and hogs the screen time, especially with Starlight Glimmer's plot (Ahem) having to share the episode with her. I'm hoping for the best, though.

I doubt she'll hog up too much screen time. Isn't this supposed to be a two-part episode?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? The Poof comparison is probably unwarranted. The MLP writers have shown themselves to be way more competent than the FOP ones. I have faith.

This song needs more love.I don't see how Flurry Heart would be that much of a scene hog, since she lives in the Crystal Empire and she won't be with the Mane 6 during the rest of the season, unlike Baby Poof.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I gather from the trailer that Flurry Heart accidentally causes the winter? Reminds me of a certain Disney film.
Next I'll keep hoping for the Pony of Shadows to infect Celestia and for Spike to be temporarily transformed into a pony.
- Sneeze of Doom: It turns out that Flurry Heart has accidentally fired up a spell to destroy the winter-block shield in the Crystal Empire... by sneezing once.
Yeah, Sunset went from one dimensional villain with super rushed redemption to the best thing about the EQG verse, so I'm willing to give them some leeway with Starlight. Really, I just need more pony in my life, and I need it soon.
Shining, Cadance— just remember, one day that kid is gonna be a teenager.
"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkNope, alicorns are immortal. The downside to being born an alicorn instead of ascending is that you're stuck as an infant forever.
I know that the synopsis says that Starlight failed in her attempt to reconnect with Sunburst, but I'm going to make a guess that Sunburst will play a major role in solving the eternal winter problem. Mainly because of his name and because it would tie Starlight's part of the plot to the Crystal Empire plot the Mane 6 are involved in.
I also realized that Flurry Heart's name is probably a reference to snow flurries!

Gotta figure Glim Glim would be back and show up soon. But yeah, I am not really all that worried, the writers have more then proven themselves more then skilled enough to pull off nearly anything.
Except for writing a good Spike episode.
Also, nothing has 'changed' Equestrian magic, or any of the basic facts we've seen. Only expanded on things that were either never defined, or are outside context magic.
Eternal Winter? I had a story idea along those lines!
Only there, it was related to the return of the Windigoes, their creation being the result of a curse on the ancient Equestrians (before the Hearth's Warming Eve tale, even) by a powerful mage (who I dubbed "Winterwind"), and the return of said mage.
The twist? Said mage is a human. That would raise some major questions, I think...
Oh God! Natural light!Huh. I'd read that season six wasn't starting until May but later this month is good too.
May was the first announcement back at Toy Fair, but nope, it's this month.
@Keybreak: Yeah, I think it'll be interesting. Though I'll be surprised if it ends up never getting resolved, since that would be a bit depressing for her. It'll be tough, yeah, but given how optimistic the show is I think they'll work something out.

Yeah, I think it was kind of a given that she was going to show up again at some point, the only question in what capacity. I think it's probably a bit much to have bother her thing and the alicorn baby in one episode, though.
That said, the bit about Starlight having a tough time reuniting with her friend has some potential. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the idea of it being not that easy to rebuild an old friendship.
