Looks more like Comically Missing the Point to me. Although that is an element of the trope, the trope is more than just that.

Jade from Homestuck would probably have a good picture for this, given the nature of the comic.

Agreed that it's fairly weak...I'm voting Keep Until Better Image Suggested, but we definitely need something more clear.

I'm not sure if the character's supposed to be taking that guy's FBI lie seriously or not. The comic's typical B^U doesn't really convey the right emotion... Looks more like sarcasm to me, not being a Cloud Cuckoo Lander.

How's this? I just clicked the random button a few times in the comic and stumbled onto this, but a fan might know where to find more illustrative examples. There do seem to be quite a few cuckoolanders in it.

I like Fang. You can probably pick just about any panel with him in it to have it at least adequately illustrate the trope.

The Fang pic is great. Should we go ahead and crowner this or get a couple more options?

I also like Fang. Much better than the CAD pic we already have.

The Hark A Vagrant pic makes me giggle, but the Captain Fang pic fits the trope a bit better.

One or two more votes for Fang and we can roll with it.

I think a caption is usually less needed if there's text in the image. This is one example of that.
