Dungeon Man, actually. Lesser Mook first shows up there.
Ah, yes.
I don't think any Mooks actually tried to diamondize me. I didn't encounter it again until the final Sanctuary boss.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh, that. He tried doing it, like, once. For some reason it didn't work on Jeff. Maybe because he was already Mushroomized?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaWell, i got through the dungeon without the Sword of Kings, so that opportunity's dead. Oh well. Things like that are more for second playthroughs anyway
It could have just failed. It has a low success rate I think.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!about 1/128 according to starman.net
Their recommendation is grind until you auto-win a starman super encounter, then just let the rng play out.
I meant Trillionage Sprout's glare. I know the odds for the Sword of Kings.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, i've now made it to the Lost Underworld.
Those rocks really had nothing of substance to say.
Is it worth me trading all of those Horns of Life to get the Home Run Bat?
Probably is, now that i think of it, but i don't know how in the hell i could get out of here...
You can teleport.
Some of what the stones said got lost in translation. However, the big stone acts as a very useful "here's which Sanctuaries you missed" marker.

I have a message from another time...Yeah, it's worth trading horns of life for the bat since you can buy them cheap at Saturn Valley, though if you've already gone through the Lost Underworld I think it'll be made redundant soon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Fought through the jungle and those annoying Psychic Psychos and then that tough-but-fair Carbon/Diamond Dog and then holy crap where the hell am i?
Ness.
I have a message from another time...It could be worse. You could be naked, too.

Kato (poo) doesn't seem to fit any party niche. Lest not now.
I can see that Ness is your Healer/Tank, Paula your buffer/ magic user with the hp of a diglet and Jeff is your gadget man. Also when I fought RAT OF DOOOM he only did one damage to Jeff with his basic attack. I mean I know I gave him his def but that was odd.
Also do you have to fight the santuries in order. I'm thinking you could leave mondo. I know you have to fight Shroom however.

OH THE PAIN of my sides. from laughter
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaFrom what i can tell, to advance the story as far as you can before Magicant (where only those who have done all 8 sanctuaries can go), you only need to do Giant Step, Rainy Circle, and Lumine Cave. The others can nominally be done in any order, and its decently easy to miss Lilliput Steps, Magnet Hill, and Pink Cloud. Less so for Milky Well and Fire Spring (especially since the rock that tells you what other areas you need is the first to tell you of Fire Spring)
Poo doesn't fill any real niche, yeah. He's sort of a Jack of All Stats. Ness is a better healer and physical attacker, Paula is a better offensive mage, and Jeff is, uh, Jeff. Poo is useful but mainly because he's just a fourth source of damage/healing/support less than actually being unique.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! He's also the only one with Shield Epsilon and Shield Omega.
I have a message from another time...That much is true. He's also the only one with PK Thunder Omega, but who cares about PK Thunder?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's nice in big groups with multiple rows when you don't want to blow the PP on Starstorm.
I have a message from another time...I don't think I ever used PK Thunder except for deliberate testing of it...
PK Freeze is more reliable, and in Paula's case PK Fire is better for hitting multiple targets.
I didn't use too much offensive PSI in general, though. Usually I just bashed away physically while healing or setting up shields.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I use thunder only for groups of 5 or 6, where i need Poo on multi-attack duty. Starstorm i save for bosses.
Thunder's one pro, in my opinion, is it's cheap. But it's pretty unreliable.
As for roles, Ness bashes and heals, Paula is my Glass Cannon, and Jeff shoots stuff because items are always Too Awesome to Use no matter what game I'm playing. Although that HP Sucker and Slime Generator are pretty nifty, and I use the former frequently and the latter occasionally...
That bazooka sounds beautiful.I'll keep an eye out for it! And I figured there was a hit-all HP Sucker since there's one for PP in the form of PSI Magnet Ω.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaEventually you'll get the Heavy Bazooka, which is literally infinite Super Bombs for Jeff.
You'll also get an upgraded HP Sucker that drains from all foes. Pretty useful.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Something like an eerie glare.
He's the first foe you encounter who can Diamondize. I don't think it shows up again until, like, Stonehenge Base.
