Pokemon Conquest: Fate of Crimena (Role Playing)

Though the Beartic's wounds have been treated, they still hurt; the pain preventing it from trying to run away, proving Joshua's suggestion correct. But that did not mean that it was exempt from suspicion as Perun kept his eyes glued on it the entire time the party climbed to the mountaintop. Hearing Sir Aaron's dilemma, Joshua chose the most logical answer.

"I suggest we wait till the morrow, Far better to fight such a creature at peak efficiency."

Martel stroked his chin "As much as I want to find the prince quickly I think if best that we wait till morn. I fear a trap in the night if we go in now."

"I vote to rest up a bit," Edwin said.

"Wait, how do you know Prince N would here.....?" Stumpy asked Sir Aaron, slightly suspicious.....

"I also would rather check up the group first. Iris and Althea still have to recover from that Blizzard , Joshua's legs and his Beartic might also need some attention."

Ferdi turned to the Beartic.

"What's your name anyway?"

"I agree on resting for a while" Said Iris, her temperature was still high, but she was feeling a bit better now.

"To be honest, I really want to go inside as soon as possible, but I'm feeling a bit tired too." Said Jonathan, he was examining the entrance of the temple without getting too close.

"Agreed" Alden seemed really tired of that area, he hated cold places, but he also was feeling a bit tired due to him and Jonathan wandering around for a long time.

"I'm not tired, but if mistress wants to rest, I'm fine with it." Cyril really seemed like he could go on for more time and every five seconds or so he would look at the Beartic, still concerned about it "I probably should keep my eyes open and make sure that Beartic doesn't try anything."' Thought him, staring at the Beartic for some seconds before looking at the temple.

"Same here."

"I agree." Nicholas said plainly. Today was fairly eventful, a rest was indeed called for.

"Fighting an enemy that dangerous at less than perfect condition is just playing the fool." Ken was overall indifferent to the Knights' plans; he was ready to fight, but going along with whatever they had planned was the easiest route.

Shinju however raised one hand in front of her "Hold on. If Prince N may be over there, then stopping now only gives them time to escape. Surely?"

Martel nodded to Shinju's question "If they are it does however it is a matter of IF. And let me ask you these semi rhetorical questions. If they are do you think he will be alone? And if he isn't who will be guarding him? If it is our enemy what will be done if they field Rayquaza? Finally, Do you think we can be Rayquaza as we currently are?" He sighed "This isn't meant to be offensive. It's just practicality, We all are tired to different degrees and some of us are not completely healthy. It's as simple as that."

Althea was now recovering from the cold and decided to return the cape, but a gust of wind changed her mind. Her teeth were chattering as she clutched the cape.

"...Still cold."

Chase the Cubchoo hid from the Beartic by hiding under the Skitty, which of course, didn't work.

"What a pussy." she chided as she slapped him with her tail. "Be a man, for once."

She weakly clutched Iris' arm. "I-I vote for rest..."

The Beartic snarled in disgust at seeing the Cubchoo trying and failing to hide from him before replying without making eye contact to the Gardevoir.

"I have no name, I find little meaning in such a triviality."

"So does that mean I can call you whatever I desire?"

The Beartic glances threateningly towards Perun.

"Do you wish to be buried alive in snow again?"

Perun narrows his eyes in response.

"Do YOU wish to seize and spasm like a fish out of water again?"

The Beartic and the Zebstrika then glared at each other with intense hatred, Seeing his Pokemon argue like little children; Joshua pondered for a few seconds before coming up with a fitting name for his Beartic in order to break the two of them up.

"Jarlio. His name will be Jarlio."

"Jarlio... Feh, I'll accept being called by that; but only because I find it appealing."

"Humph, a barbaric name for a barbaric creature."

"I don't, but if Rayquaza attacked Pidgeot when it passed here, there must have been something important in that temple if it attacked just a simple bird Pokemon. Though, to be frank, I'm just clinging to whatever hope is left here. We've probably just went to a dead end. I'm not sure, but the good side is that we have a clearer view of where to start looking for N in the morning. Lucario, try and set up camp here. We'll rest for the night." Aaron said. Lucario nodded and went off to find a material to help have them lie upon.

"The rest of you should do the same. We've made progress regardless." Aaron said.

"Ok... You don't need to carry me around anymore Jonathan" Said Iris and just as she did Jonathan put her on the ground carefully.

"Thank god, so much weight was making my back hurt a lot." Said Jonathan, stretching a bit until he noticed Iris and Lumi glaring at him "... It's because of the armor okay? It's heavy you know!"

"... It's a light armor, otherwise moving quickly like I do would be difficult, and I saw carrying much heavier armors around before." Countered Iris, still glaring at him as if she wanted to kill him right now.

"Really? Then you have to eat less, a little diet may help. Did you even measure your weight recently?" Jonathan had a more playful tone in his voice and smile, enraging Iris even more.

"Stop that! I don't eat that much, right Cyril?" Iris then turned to face Cyril, whose expression made it clear that he wasn't expecting to be involved in the argument.

"You do know that I can't understand a thing of what he says right, and you translating could be just a trick." Said Jonathan, trying to contain the laughs aas Iris started to blush

"Thank god" Thought Cyril, with a sigh of relief.

"Besides... That much? I'm guessing you're only fit like this because of all your training, otherwise..." Jonathan then started to imagine an over-weighted Iris, and bursted into laughter as soon as he did "Man... That would be so funny!" He said while laughing

Iris was as red as a tomato by that point, of both embarrassment and rage and seeing Jonathan laughing at her like that only made it worse, she then threw her's helmet at him in frustation, who just caught it because he already saw it coming.

"Mistress! More self-control please!" Said Cyril, not really surprised by what happened "Though I can't really blame her, Jonathan sure can be annoying at times."

"Hey! If you don't want this, can I have it? I could sell it for a grea..."

Jonathan then saw Iris leaving in the same direction as Lucario, to search for something so she could have a good rest and to move away from Jonathan, Cyril started following her as soon as he saw her going away.

"Hey! You're sick! You shouldn't go around on your own!" Said Jonathan in a vain attempt to make Iris come back, she quickly got away from his sight "... This was the kind of thing I did with her all the time and we're always laughing at the end because she knew I wasn't being serious, I guess she forgot." Said Jonathan, just looking at where she went with a look of regret.

"You're also forgetting that there are other people around here, moron." Said Alden, he knew that he wouldn't understand, but he felt the need to say that as he facepalmed.

"An innocent tease gone wrong I guess." Said Lumi, still, she didn't like what he said to Iris one bit, but it was clear for her that it wasn't in bad intentions.

"Heheh." Althea watched Jonathan and Iris' teasing. She was still clutching the cape. "...Can't blame Iris though, it's easy to gain weight."

"You're getting fat, Aerie. Honest." Elsie the Skitty nudged Althea's butt with her tail. She eeped from her Pokemon's behavior.

Chase the Cubchoo placed his paw on his mouth. "She's still skinny..."

A beat.

"I think."

Althea's mood soured for a second, and then went back to her cheery expression. Elsie glared at the Cubchoo. "Good going, Chase."

He looked at her helplessly. "Well, I don't know if she gained weight, or not..."

"You were supposed to say: Aerie, you don't look fat, dumbass!"

Chase paused. "That's what she said. You're not fat!"

Elsie bumped into him, resulting in Chase losing his balance. "And you took it back, with her being skinny..."

Althea ignored her Pokemon's squabbling and asked everyone. "So, we're supposed to rest, right? Where are we going to sleep...?"

Martel chuckled "It appears, Sir Johnathan, that you forgot a ladies weight is never a matter for discussion. Especially in the company of others." He shuddered "THAT was a lesson my sensei beat into me multiple times."

He turned to Althea "All of you get some rest. I'll take the first watch an alert you if anything happens."

"The teasing my dad gave me was never innocent," Edwin whispered.

Stumpy looked at Edwin with concern a bit, but then turned to Jonathan. "But really, teasing someone about a topic you know would anger them makes you a douche," the Breloom said to Joathan. "Don't be a douche, especially if its going to destabilize the effectiveness of any of our team."

"H-Hey! Iris never had a problem with this before, she always played along because she knew I was just kidding, I didn't expect her to get really angry like that, but she throwed stuff at me at the past, but things like a small ball, a pillow and as of now, a steel helmet" Retorted Jonathan at Stumpy's comment, while looking at the helmet he was carrying in his hands.

"He's not lying, but still, they did the play when they were alone, so it was still really dumb to start teasing her now. I guess it's to be expected when Jonathan is still the same kid and didn't mature yet."

Martel nodded "The company of others tends to mean that women enjoy talks abou how much they weigh less." He shuddered again "That was another lesson I learned the hard way."

"Here may be a good spot." Lucario said as he pulled some strange linen cloths and spread one of them out to make a sort of blanket.

"Lucario, where did you get the cloths?" Aaron asked.

"They were hidden near the temple. It seemed that this temple was occupied before. Long abandoned by the age of the cloths." Lucario said, pointing to their yellowing.

"Hm... We'll probably investigate that if our search leads us back here. Make sure everyone here gets a piece of the cloth." Aaron said as Lucario cut the cloth for Aaron. He laid down on the hard ground and laid the blanket on himself, staring at the night sky. There were a few stars up tonight, some making constellations. Lucario did the same thing for the others, giving them a piece of linen cloth to use as they wished.

Runa prepared some tea for Iris and Althea, while following the groups chatter.

She pressed a cup in each of their hands and then talked to the group.

" I hate to interrupt your lovely little talk, but I suggest that we clarify, who will be holding the night watch. I would hate to have my throat cut when waking up.

Ferdi in the meantime went over to Jarlio and offered to heal his wounds.

“It will only take a moment. Healing Pokemon is much easier for me then healing humans, so I don’t really have something else to do right now.”

"I'll take first watch. I'll wake everyone if anything happens. Who's going to take second? One person can't do it all night and be a peak preformance, We have to rotate watchmen/women."

"I'll take the second watch, no problem" Said Jonathan, seeing that Iris and Cyril came back with Lucario, he tried to avoid speaking with her for now.

"Oh um... Thank you." Said Iris, upon being greeted by a cup of tea that Runa handed to her.

Joshua took a blanket for himself and Perun while Jarlio began to rest on a pile of snow he created with icy wind. Hearing Sir Martel, Joshua volunteered for nightwatch.

"I will take second watch."

"I'll take the third then." Lucario said, folding his arms.

"Very well. Everyone, try and get a good night sleep, okay?" Aaron said as he laid down onto the floor and looked up at the stars.

"Soon, N. Soon we will find you..." He said. He then closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Unseen by the Knights or their Pokemon, a strange figure hovered over the mountaintop where they rested. Its white hair bellowed in the wind as it focused its cyan eye upon the knights. He silently watched them.

Okay, no one's biting the hook it seems. Might as well move on.

Darkrai was spying on the group for one reason. To see if Cresselia, his better half, would try to do something to them. He didn't detect her presence. He then flew off. Good. Cresselia wasn't there.

Morning came as Aaron opened his eyes. Surprisingly, no one had tried to attack the sleepers. Heck, Rayquaza didn't even return. Aaron wondered about this, then got up to inspect the area. He then noticed that the pillars, or more specifically, the statues, were absent. He then saw someone in front of him. A knight, it seemed. However, it wasn't like any knight Aaron had seen. The helmet was sinister, looking like a Pokemon, specifically a Mightyena. His armor was black, jagged, and rough, and he had a sword that was twice as long as he was tall.

"Wh-Who are you?" Aaron asked the figure.

"..." All that sounded was the creaking metal of his armor as the knight pointed his sword to Aaron. Then, a snarl. Whatever this Knight was, it wanted a bone to pick with the group...

Martel woke up and as he noticed the strange figure in sinister armour pointing it's sword at Sir Aaron shouted to the rest of the group "All right lads and lasses! Wakey wakey, rise and shine! We've got a fight on our hands!" He took a defensive stance barcing himself for battle.
