It's also easier to believe someone could frame Ollie, who did go on a killing spree not that long ago in-universe. And while the cops accept his help now, it's been established (if not brought up in a while) that people are still wary of him and that the police are nervous that he might go back to his old ways.
Ray even lampshades it, when Felicity goes "oh, but it's not like he's murdered anyone recently."

Ollie's in an official League outfit.
This is a signature.@Known Unknown- But still they should give The Arrow, the benefit of the doubt given that he has saved the city at least once, before jumping to the conclusion that the Arrow has gone back to killing.
The mayor seemed to be on the fence. It was just Ray (who saw Ollie standing over a pile of bodies) who was sure. Even Lance didn't seem sure, he was just pissed enough in general that he wanted him brought in.
This just occured to me but how was that explosion supposed to kill Lawton? The hospital was wired to explode. The building with the hostages. The building where the fight took place. The building ACROSS THE STREET from the one Deadshot was on. Deadshot was shooting through the windows. He couldn't do that to the building he was on. They only showed one building explode, not the whole complex. He should have been fine.
That is why I think they are faking his death.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureOne step forward, two steps back for Ollie.
I can see why the fight could be thought of as disappointing to some, but Ollie did point out that Ray was inexperienced, and he managed to hit a weak spot early on.
Hell, if it had actually been a League assassin, he'd have never lived to tell the tale. At least Barry can't have his powers turned off so easily, though he also still makes mistakes.
Man, they better not fire that arrow at Felicity, otherwise somebody's getting fucked up something fierce.

One Strip! One Strip!I don't mind that Ollie beat him easily by way of exploiting his inexperience (it's what made his fight with Flash so good). I just dislike how quick it was. Ray fired a couple of shots, swooped in close, and was immediately taken down in one hit.
That's one largely unhelpful supersuit. If Ollie could've done that with one thrown weapon, how did Ray expect the suit to hold up against guys with guns? Though I guess that was the point.
Still, it really hammered in that the fight was more obligatory than anything. "We need to have these two fight at some point, so let's make it quick." And I guess part of it is that it neutered all the hype the OMAC Blue Beetle Atom suit was getting - though Ray's inexperience put him in the position to fail, ultimately he lost because the suit was ineffective and easily broken.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The title for episode 3.22 is titled "This is Your Sword"
Just like every other season the 22nd episode is named after a Bruce Springsteen song.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAm I the only one who was profoundly disappointed in Ray's suit. I was expecting that his inexperience and lack of combat abilities will drive him to stupid tactical mistakes and in the end failure, but I was hoping for at least some nice showing of capabilities, to present it as game changer in grand scheme of things (at least in long term). Instead I felt like it was some sort of parody of Iron man. It is shame because I like Palmer in this series.
If I'm remembering right, this is the first actual working ATOM suit prototype. Ray's a brilliant inventor, but he was stupid to take his first prototype he just barely figured out how to make actually function (with a LOT of help from Felicity) into a fight with an experienced and trained killer. Though Ollie got incredibly lucky there was a weak spot.

Just once more to the breech, dear friend, once more.If Ollie actually wanted to kill him, he would have put an arrow through the faceplate. Even if that's bulletproof, it's still a weak point.
But I still agree on the prototype justification.
Indeed.
Take a tip from Tony Stark and slam into a few walls do a lot more testing before you go out into the field.
Guys, Stephen Amell apparently just signed on to play Casey Jones in the Ninja Turtles sequel.
He might just save the whole damn movie.

"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"Let's not go that far. It's still a Michael Bay production right? Let's just say he'll make it suck less.
Trump delenda estSeriously? Shado's identical twin sister? Haven't they pulled this kind of thing already?
Well, we know Ray's not going to die or get brain damage because he appears on Flash.
Nanobots, huh, that's cool - NANOBOTS THAT SHRINK STUFF?! Ray might actually become The Atom after all.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Nice. I was worried that they would make him just Atom In Name Only (or Blue Beetle with Atom's name).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Side effects of the shrinking nanobots! Ray's totally gonna get shrinking powers!
Man, that speech from Lance was good to hear. It's telling about the difference in tone between the shows that while Flash has set up a decent situation where telling as few people as possible is necessary, with the hero clearly wanting to tell the people he cares about as soon as possible, for a long time Ollie's and the gang have just been creating new lies to tell people in order to protect them from the fallout of his old lies - even as situations enfold in front of them telling them outright that that's a bad idea and is going to go wrong.
One of the reasons I didn't like Sara is that her main contribution to the plot was just to encourage that or similar lack of development for as long as possible for drama.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Good think Lance acknowledged that he was pursuing the Arrow for other reasons than believing he really was the Mayor's killer.
Because a great cop would probably have realized one of the targets was a girl who is working with him, and for whom he caused quite some damage when she got in danger.
Also, I'm quite sad about the dramadramadrama with Felicity. Ray and her are an awesome couple, they should be together, period.
Oh, and I also hope we will eventually get a glimpse of Waller's motivations because so far, I don't see how exactly Oliver could tolerate even Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with her consider what she has done.

Lance was also pretty nice about his investigation, he already knew there of the Arrow's associates by name but didn't go after any of them. Hell how hard would it have been to just realise that all three of them all hang out with Oliver, it's kinda an easy case to crack.

Honestly, if comic book heroes wanted to be less easy to frame for shit, they should stop doing their heroing while wearing masks. I mean, framing, oh, Luke Cage for anything would be much harder. Also inadvisable.
