Why do we have what appears to be fanart as the image for this page?

It's not a bad pic, but if it's something that was used without permission, we definitely need to either get permission or replace it with a cast shot from the show or an official artwork.

That image is all over the place.

It's effectively fanart commissioned by the creators. It may come under Fair Use as a promotional image, but I'm not sure. The DVD covers, at least the ones I have, aren't nearly as nice since they don't show all the main characters.

I would like to see an image that doesn't have the characters in their war costumes that they wore for all of two episodes. Zuko should probably be in there too.

I like #2. Bit big though.

I like 7.2 best so far.

I like #2 as well, but I'm not too sure if it would be good at 350x263 px .

(I just resized it in Irfanview and saved in PNG, the latter admittedly out of habit than any practical reason, otherwise not changed.)

That's...alright, but I think I like either of the others a bit better...lean toward 7.1.

The main problem I see with #1 is that it doesn't include Zuko, who regardless of where he stands on the face/heel chart is as much a main series character as Katara or Sokka (but not Aang, being the title character is powerful juju ).

Indeed. As far as I can tell, that's also a fan-made image; those poses are the standard ones from a GIS and are clearly just overlayed on the background. My vote goes to the current or the book 1 box art.

It's also lacking Toph, but GIS is not rewarding me with a good image of the full Gaang plus Zuko.

I like that.

Still feels clip art-y to me. Especially Zuko and the little "this is where the ground is" line beneath his feet, which is situated in mid-air near the mountain.

#2 there is great.

#2 has everyone in there. It's a bit intense, but then again so is the current image.

Why do all the good group shots have to revolve around the fighting?

I think you could crop #2 so the DVD banner at the bottom was gone and it wouldn't lose anything.

I'd have preferred something with a style of the actual series, but that works too.
