... so contact the artist and ask for permission?
Hidden tags/page history don't indicate that we have the right to use the image either; I'm pulling it until permission is granted.

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.Are you going to do it or do I have to do it?
I don't know if I wanna ask myself.
Permission's been asked...hopefully I'll hear something soon.
The artist gave permission to use the pic. Now, the question is, should we try to find something else or just go with that?
Is there any reason to change the image?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm good with it, but I didn't know if anyone had any other ideas in mind.
I support using the current pic.

It's fine, let's leave it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerFor the record, mine was a "keep" vote.
And with 5 votes for keeping, we can close this.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGood enough. The pic and caption are back up and the permission notice is added. However, when I previewed the page, I saw that it's the actual pic and the resized version is being forced by the page. I'll resize it tonight unless someone gets to it sooner. Also, can someone please double-check the artist's name in the notice and correct it if it's needed? I don't think dA will load here.

Done and done — the ~ or * dA sometimes puts before an artsit name isn't needed.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Thank you, that looks much better. Locking up.
As much as I like the picture, there's no apparent proof that we got permission to use it (as it's a deviantart image).
Other than the description in the artwork's official page.
But I still suggest we get proper permission and state we got permission.
