Agree, rename.
Interestingly, the page's "not to be confused with" section (always a sign of a bad name) refers to The Deadliest Mushroom which is... something about nuclear mushroom clouds. An essay of some kind, definitely not a trope. And that page opens with the line "No, we don't mean Poison Mushroom," presumably mistaking Poison Mushroom for "mushroom that is poisonous."
Good point. That also confused me, as I then clicked on The Deadliest Mushroom, thinking that maybe that was about literally poisoned/poisonous mushrooms.
HodorNot quite so fast guys. This isn't the trope's first trip to TRS - the first one had a wick check attached.
The verdict then was to clean it up and call it good. Has the usage changed in the 12 months since then?

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Was the cleanup actually done?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFor what it's worth, the "not to be confused with" is clearly a joke.
A claim of an ambiguous name requires evidence of misuse or underuse by TRS rules. Closing this.
Feel free to create another thread with a wick check or other evidence if you desire.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
I think this could probably benefit from a rename, as both of the times I've clicked on it, I've thought it meant mushrooms that are poisonous/poisoned, such as those used those used to kill the Emperor Claudius.
I can see that Mushroom here is chosen for its association with the Mario games, but it is still somewhat confusing/nonindicative as a name.
