To be fair, the Slender Man rip-off accusations surfaced back when all that was known about the film was the title and the "tall guy kidnaps kids" plot. After images started being leaked the accusations started dying down.

It looks good. But I read the ending on Wikipedia. You are going to be surprised, it's a twist ending but not the kind you'd even expect.

Who's heard of it? Who's going to see it? Who sees the trailer and goes "How can anyone think this is a Slenderman movie aside from a few minor similarities?"
