Wait Sidonia's over? I watched the anime on a whim a couple months ago. Didn't care enough to seek out the manga. Awesome visuals and style, but lackluster characters. And of course the second season got very slow very quickly.
Well, that was...quicker than expected. Just drop in and seal the hole, eh? Also, I honestly thought Reiner was going to die there. I dunno, it just seems like this series to do something bizarre like a major Shifter dying unceremoniously in human form.
And Monkey Trouble; always good to see him. Of course, I have no idea what's going on with him anymore, since the reveal that he was human. All my theories banked in MT being both not a (normal) Shifter and being an enemy of the Warrior faction.
Oh, and the movie. I haven't watched it or anything, but I read a couple reviews and a synopsis. Woooow. Really, guys? You're going to give humanity modern tech, thus completely breaking the narrative? I feel like this can't be overstated: First World War-era humanity would wreck the Titans. No contest. Machine gun fire would almost certainly be enough to tear apart the nape — rockets definitely would — but more importantly? Aircraft. The Titans just lose their advantage completely if you can stay out of their reach.
Really they should have set the movie in some other time period altogether. Maybe just make up something about the Survey Corps during the hundred-year lull. Bit pointless retreading ground that's already been covered twice by the manga and anime.
Very authentic(?) Attack on Titan cosplay.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Cost effective cosplay at its finest.
Not sure the figurines were cost-effective though. Well, still more than costumes I guess.
If time is considered a part of the budget, it is cost effective.
Can I talk about Attack on Titan Junior High here?
If so, I just want to comment on how amused I am at this show using the same soundtracks in the original anime. I've never imagined all those epic soundtracks could be used so silly until now.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. So I noticed that google translate first translate "kyojin" into "Titan" instead of "Giant". I have no reason to believe that isn't because of the popularity of this series.
Raws are out.

That badass double page at the end…
It would seem like Reiner is screwed this time, but we haven't seen Bertolt, and I'm pretty sure Monky Trouble has already anticipated Erwin's entire plan. Also, it's kind of easier for Eren to fight when he doesn't lose his fists every time he punches.
I'm wondering how this will go. Unspoken Plan Guarantee would demand it fail miserably, but I feel like this has been building up to either humanity scoring their next big win over the Titans, or getting hit with a new wrinkle that will crush their spirits.
I will say this much. It looks like Eren is finally gonna be able to run wild, and it'll be nice to see. I'm grateful for the development of other characters (a rarity in Shonen) but it's nice that the main character gets to strut his stuff again.
One Strip! One Strip!Five bucks he gets kidnapped again.

The thing about Eren getting captured is that it let others get developed, but that's gone on long enough. It's time for Eren to do something. It's high time, and I want to believe that the author has plans for him now.
One Strip! One Strip!Bert and Renier have avoided thier comeuppance for a bit too long... Its time for some Shonen Justice!
Guessing that means something different for you.
Bert and Reiner still have a lot more character and story in them; killing them now would be a bad idea. Same goes for Annie, by the way.

What's an Annie? Is it something you eat?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyOnly if you can crack the hard shell around it.
Looking forward to see what these new weapons are going to do. Some kind of propelled harpoon to pierce Reiner's armour, perhaps?
Levi vs Monkey Trouble seems like it could be a hell of a showdown, if it comes to pass...this could finally be a fight where Levi might die, though I hope not. Although, Kenny probably had a fair shot at it, come to think of it.
Gotta love Erwin just chilling on the wall beside Reiner. Can't say I think it made much tactical sense, but maybe Erwin's reflexes are quick enough to escape an in-passing attack from Reiner.
Haven't read the chapter yet, but no way is Levi dying. If anyone kicks the bucket this arc (which, as was previously discussed, isn't a given) it's Erwin.
Man, when are Annie and Ymir gonna come back already?

Yeah I doubt the first main character in the whole story to die will be Levi. The story doesn't really have any guts for killing off anyone too important.
When life gives you lemons, burn life's house down with the lemons.
Agreed, though you gotta admit, losing the superman Levi would be a pretty brutal blow to humanity.
But it's pretty unlikely, at least at this point in the series.
One Strip! One Strip! If Levi died it would just open up the gate for Mikasa to surpass him. Not that I think it'll happen but I don't see Monkey Trouble dying in their inevitable conflict either...
About the series ending: Well, as Erwin mentions, even if they fix the wall here (and for that matter, even if they defeat Bertolt, Reiner and Monkey Trouble), they could still be screwed over again any time their adversaries outside the walls decide to send in another powerful shifter. I doubt the series will end without some progress on that front, at least.
