So I picked out some mid-nineties teen comedy for the sole reason that the trailer featured the one and only Matt Frewer, who I can pretty much love to no end in basically anything.

How have we not watched this one already?

So, tonight, we'll be settling in with the less appreciated sequel to Robert Zemeckis' Romancing the Stone—The Jewel of the Nile.

The original film's leads—Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito—all return. Robert Zemeckis does not. This sequel was, instead, directed by Lewis Teague, who just so happens to have had a hand in some very memorable past features, including Wedlock (), that weird ass Justice League of America TV pilot ()... and, omigod, he even directed last night's Collision Course!!!!

I certainly remember Wedlock. That was one of the stranger and more fun movies we'd ever watched. I hope this means good things for this one!

Romancing the Stone was a lot of fun, and I'm interested to see how its sequel turned out!

So tonight's a novel story about a man who builds a monster truck to exact revenge against a gang of rednecks who killed his family and stuffed his girlfriend in a refrigerator (figuratively speaking, of course).

Tonight we start things off with some beautiful artwork by Bob Ross, and then some awful artwork in the form of Action Man CGI.

I think I've heard of that one before. Was never aware of the connection to Blackenstein. God, that movie's a pizza shit.

Anyway, I won't be around this evening, but I will be leaving behind for the rest of you some sort of feature-length amalgamation of a 1980's Saturday morning cartoon series called Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.

And I hope I'm not the only one who is reminded of Dokken when I hear the cries of "WHEEEELED WARRRRIORRRRRRRRRRSSS" in this animated intro.

Wait, it's not anime?! It's actually made by DiC but animated in Japan. And based on an American toy company's toyline. Huh.

That would definitely be a good one. Also, tell Bluerock about Satan's Little Helper () from the same director as Squirm.

Anyway, after finally restoring our long lost cretin .gif◊ ("/yeah" in chat), I feel like revisiting Troma's Class of Nuke 'Em High.

Disappointed that this only received a from our consensus. This is easily one of Troma's absolute best and most watchable/entertaining releases.
