Looks a bit more complicated than what I would expect from Plants Vs Zombies, but I'd check it out.

So apparently there's 2 PVZ games coming out. One is I'm assuming staying a tower defense game, which is Plants Vs Zombies 2. The other is a FPS in the vein of Team Fortress 2. Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!

I was wondering why this thread wasn't visible.

Questions: 1. How's the IAP working out for you guys? I don't particularly feel like it's intrusive unlike so many other games, and farming for keys, I find, is easy enough when either getting all the stars or doing the Challenge Zones.

2. I've been told the original release version of PVZ didn't have the amount of content that we know it to have now. Think PVZ2 will similarly build itself over time, and maybe address whatever issues of tedium people have with it right now?

3. PVZ1 had a pretty high number of plants that became obsolete as the game moved on, like the Cabbage-pult, various one-shot bombs, Star Fruit and etc. PVZ2, on the other hand, seems to balance the roles and necessity of its plants a lot better thanks to the challenges and various zombies faced. Agree?

Can't believe this thread is this small. I thought it was like downloaded 25 million times!

Anyhow....I was on the Day 11 of Middle Ages. You know, it's interesting how the World Key Giving Stage was easier than the others. Because holy shit, guys, for fuck's sake give me some time to build some stuff before sending out the bucketheads!

Oh, and the magician was...not actually as bad as I thought. I guess Power Turnip + Lightning and Butter can do wonders.

And holy fuck! I'm playing this on Android and it got reset the progress again! This is like the third time now!

Not a terribly active thread, I see.

Anyway, just completed the Lost City levels. Pretty entertaining, and most of the new plants actually proved useful outside of the era. The Endurion has basically replaced the Wall-Nut as the default protector of choice.

I had a few predictions for what the next Era might be, I'll post them after I get off work.

[up] Your progress got reset on Android too? That happened to me after completing basically everything up to Frostbite Caves. Losing the limited time premium plants hurts a bit, especially Ghost Pepper, but I trust they'll become available for some special occasion again in the future. I hope I can gather enough gems until that. I feel lucky I haven't actually bought any of the plants that cost actual money.

Mine's reset twice now. And yet, I keep playing. For some reason.

I'm really digging the Homing Thistle. Columns and columns of it, along with a single Wintermelon per row is my go-to set up in Survival. And yes, the Endurian has replaced the Infi-Nut for me as my go-to blocker.

But yeah... gems. It's so funny, they were so worthless to me for so long and now I get ecstatic every time I get just one.

Oh, is the second part of Lost Age out? I might need to update.

... side note: Big Wave Beach is fucking bullshit.

I'm eight gems away from Homing Thistle at the moment. It used to be a crucial part of every setup I had before my progress restarted.

Anyway, I'm thinking that there will be at least one Era to be released, as evidenced by the blacked out question mark option in the Era menu. I'm thinking it might be another night time era. I would've suggested Victorian London, but given the the time The Lost City takes place in they might be a bit too close together. Other ideas would be either Arabia circa year 1000 (One thousand and one nights and whatnot) or feudal Japan.

Yeah, Victorian London doesn't make sense given The Lost City already having proper British lady zombies with parasols.

Maybe a The End of the World as We Know It, Scavenger World-style level?

Yeah, some sort of post-apocalyptic scene could be interesting. Possibilities for mutant zombies, weird scavenger armours, gas mask clad zombies and whatever references the game would like to throw to Fallout, Mad Max and every zombie apocalypse thing ever made.

Ooh, this thread is finally active again =D

Completed Lost City. Have to say that part 2's difficulty is a good bit tougher than Part 1's. Even that 5 garg wave at the end of Day 16 wasn't tough at all.

The only one that actively gives me trouble, even during the second playthrough, is Big Wave Beach. Just about every special zombie the era has has their own entry under Demonic Spider on the game's Trope page.

I don't think so.

Is there a general Plants vs. Zombies thread? Given how slowly this one moves we could possibly move the conversation there.

God, I hate Big Wave Beach. The zombies are all Demonic Spiders, the Tide mechanic serves only to hurt players and help zombies, and the new plants are really lame.

It seems that further down the road we go, the less useful the new plants become, as they're more in sync with the new mechanics and zombies of the specific era rather than universally good.

Big Wave Beach and Frostbite Caves are particularly big offenders, The Lost City on the other hand was a huge improvement to that issue.

The Chard Guard can come in handy everywhere else if you know what you're doing with him, but that the only plant I can think of that's especially useful outside of those two worlds.

"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"

In case someone hasn't noticed, the limited time plants are back for another, unspecified period of limited time.

I wish I can gather enough gems to reacquire the Ghost Pepper.

So anyway, Neon Mixtape Tour Side A is out, and Side B is coming out soon. What are your thoughts?

Pretty cool world with the music gimmick, I must say. Thank goodness only one Jam can be on at a time, so only one Zombie type benefits from them.
