Gameplay. Stealth, platforming and memory remixing etc. Long story short: You rewrite a guy's memory so that he remembers killing his girlfriend (although he didn't), then he shoots himself dead

Intriguing. It has a bit too much of a 'Hollywood' feel to it, but I suppose that interesting gameplay could more than make up for it.

I'll wait and see.

@Eldrake But Capcom.promised no.more on disk DLC- oh wait, no Wii U release and it will probably have Ryu somewhere. I like them being original.

This looks awesome! I mean I know I should probably say more, but I can't. Everything about this just looks really good. Man, nothing has delighted me more then to see video games fully realize their worlds. Nothing has looked quite like the future like cyberpunk video games.

Okay, so I actually have the right thread this time around.

I've seen it described as Assassin's Creed plus Ghost Trick, which I agree with. Definitely more interested in the world than the gameplay.

Capcom hasn't been very popular with gamers lately.

That said, a new IP is always welcome.

It's still ignorant to not even give a game a chance because of the person who publishes it.

It does make one weary.

Also some people boycott certain publishers due to their actions. Capcom is increasingly becoming a popular target.

It's still to scapegoat creator levels, and it's not the developers that should be attacked, but the executives that are behind the developing decisions.

...wow, thank goodness for that throwaway easily missed line about the chief having fired an officer for not shooting a beggar that was in the way, other wise I'd feel BAD for the whole SUICIDE MIND RAPE THING!

...seriously, the premise is intriguing but couldn't they give either some CLEARER indication that was a scumbag or have the protagonist be more reticent about this? ("You want me to KILL him?" "No, I want you to make him kill himself." "[silence]"). Or did they simply think that the "any and all authority figures in Cyberpunk are pure evil" cliché was enough? That just felt WRONG.

Trust me, many many times I wish I could get a game and give 100% of the money to the developers only and not the publishers.

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say. Are you saying they should give some better indication that he's evil?

Yes. That single line felt like it was only added because the developers realized "Oh crap, we just the main character fuck up a guy's mind, make him kill himself and show his girlfriend bawling over his corpse no apparent reason other than following orders. Maybe they could have him have some other discussion in his office with a torturer or something.

Also, gotta love how the PC can walk in front of a giant wanted holoposter of her and no one cares.

But, why? Why does he have to be some terrible person who deserves it? Why can't he just be a guy who was in the way?

As for the poster, no one was really paying attention. I mean it wasn't a great image of her and how many people were really paying attention to it?

Yeah, that was my first thought too.

Although I have to admit I was sorely tempted to make a Mega Man/Metroid: Other M joke because of the game's title.
