[up][up]Hot Pockets? Damn, dude. :/

Apparently he now works at a department store and tries to hit on customers.
Now we know the origin of Ben Affleck's character in Mallrats.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

In my first year on HS I had a teacher who was young, energic, Wide-Eyed Idealist, who apparently liked Manga and took an active approach. He was certainly hot, too.

He was fired under a false accusation of misdemeanor. A girl accused him of stripping off and her mom who had a seat in the Parents Council demanded his head. It was too sad.

Wow, that must have been quite a conversation-starter.

High School was, for me, a series of happy times and nigh-unbearable torments that forged me into the person I am today. But mostly nigh-unbearable torments. That weren't actually all that bad in retrospect. Eff this, let's just cut to the recap:

  • Generic bullying stuff happened. The highlights were in my first school where I was getting over-inflated basketballs lobbed at me from across the gym and then me getting in trouble somehow, and in my second school where some kids tried to get me angry so that they could videotape me lashing out.
  • I was rather attention-whorish some of the time and ended up derailing the drama class' production (I thought it would be funny for everyone) causing one of my few friends to disown me and actively start bullying me, and I was also sent for counseling, got chewed out by the class president, and had to write an apology letter to the drama class.
  • Being roommates with a kid during summer camp who did everything in his power to piss me off for no apparent reason (Seriously, what did I do to make you want to empty my shampoo and toothpaste over my bunk AND also open the fire escape and try to blame it on me? That wasn't even the most annoying thing.)
  • One of our classmates got killed in a car accident on the way back from prom. Several others were severely injured but recovered.
  • 9/11 happened. I was in 9th Grade at the time.

And on the bright side:

  • Neopets. Many hours spent on Neopets.
  • Officially Voluntary but Unofficially Mandatory (by order of parents) fun events. Not enjoyable in and of themselves, but I always thought dancing was kinda fun and they always had awesome pizza.
  • I made a couple of great friends I still keep in contact with to this day.

I'm still in high school, about to go into 11th grade. In an IB school. Yeah, this is gonna suck. And my first two years were a self-made hell because of me being a lazy ass and not doing my work…

I remember high school.

It was a dark, dreary time... an establishment of learning, so horribly perverted by the likes of heroin addicts and insecure sociopaths who get a charge out of picking off the weak. You couldn't go ten steps without finding blood, or some poor shit's beaten corpse laying discarded on the dirty floor like a used gum wrapper, left there to decay and rot so that the janitor is left to dispose of them. I was able to survive by simply not existing to anyone's eyes. I drifted through the hallways very rarely, and hid myself in the teacher's lounge, which was as far as I knew my only safe haven from this madness that's infected this school. I thought it was hopeless, that those dying and injured couldn't be helped and their ends were all inevitable...

But then a vigilante struck.

An androgynous figure, shrouded in a cape and face obscured by a mask, goggles, and a fedora. They would appear out of nowhere and attack the aggressors violently with a dented aluminum baseball bat, but show enough restraint and care in their actions so that they wouldn't die from their attacks. They merely wanted to incapacitate the attackers, not kill them. If they did that, they would be no better than the monsters they were fighting. I admired their nobility and willingness to change the status quo, as well as their humility, seeing as they never took credit for their actions and barely even spoke to those whom they protected, wanting only to exist through their actions and not through a concrete identity. Through their efforts, they had not only saved lives, but had also caused some to change their ways for the better and become functioning members of society in doing so. And they had given me hope in this new era when I had thought all was lost.

...at least, that's how I imagine high school'll be like.

Usually here.

I remember high school...

It was not great but not bad. Was trying to find an identity for myself. All it took was one of my nails to be painted black.

Good tiiiiiimes and bad tiiiiiiimes.

College was more freeing and better.
