I didn't mind the newer Simpsons episodes.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I thought early Family Guy was hilarious, the cutaways were better executed and contrary to common critism, there was some amount of depth in the characters. It was only later on sadism and Rule of Funny completely took over the show, though there's still the occasional genuine laugh from it.

I still get laughs out of recent episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy.
I don't think The Simpsons fell off at all.
Family Guy sometimes make's me laugh at how unfunny it is.
The smartest idiot you will ever meet.To be honest, I found Fox's Animation Domination lineup to be essentially just some shows that I can turn off my brain and just relax and watch and not really care about anything.

Someone wake me from this nightmare, I've become my darkest fear...That's why I'm such a fan. It's just simple fun. I really think that people take those shows (especially the Seth Mac Farlane shows) too seriously.

Hense why most of the complaints are:
1. The odd occasion the shows try to give (often skewed) earnest messages, about politics and ethics.
2. When the jokes aren't considered funny.
I'm suprised at how much hatred Batman the Brave and the Bold gets
http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpI also liked Winx Club.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceChalk Zone and Cyberchase are still 2 of my favorite cartoons along with most of the popular modern ones.
I wish they had DVD's, because my love for Chalk Zone filled up my DVR and I've got another person living here. '3'
I also still like Johnny Test, particularly episodes from seasons 2 and 3.... but I'm still tempted the change the channel if it's anything after that. It's not in my favorites like the upper two, but it's still got a bit of a charm.
Also, Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog brings back fond memories of me flipping to Toon Disney for a chance to watch. Luckily, that has DVD's.
Batman The Brave And The Bold is hated!? I did not know that. :(

I liked Brandy and Mr. Whiskers...guess it was just amusing
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsChalk Zone is hated? Brandy and Mr. freakin' Whiskers is hated?!
The only big complaints I've heard of the latter is that some think the two protagonists are unsympathetic jerks. Brandy from what I remember was a jerk, but that was kind of the point.
EDIT: Mixed this up with the Praise/Criticise thread. Granted I used to worship that show as a little kid.

I just figured that B&W was one of the....less well regarded Disney Channel Cartoons. I also liked Bonkers(the show which is sometimes considered the downturn of the Disney Afternoon).
And yeah, unlucky how the praise/criticize thread got locked. Moderators really hop on those things :/.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsI find it a bit Orwellian that we can't even voice negative opinions alongside positive ones.
I'm having to learn to pay the price@Pipping Fool: I think The Secret Show has been pretty well recieved from what little attention it has got, so I'm not aware if it counts or not.
I love The Secret Show 's pastiche of the 60's espionage craze.
It reminds me of what Get Smart The Animated Series would be like if it exists.
I'm having to learn to pay the price@Pipping Fool Yeah I know. Isn't one of the reasons we have threads so we don't have edit wars(or complaining on the page?(I remember I used to abuse Headscratchers). I mean, I haven't been on tv tropes forum too long so maybe there's been too many flame wars
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsyeah, it's to bad. I mean we weren't jumping all over each other for not liking or liking a show. Even the people who disliked stuff like my little pony were respectful when saying why they din't like it and the pony fans din't star yelling at them for not liking it.
it's goin all 1984 like. Creepy.

All our wishes can come trueAnd then aaaaaaall the above posts were thumped.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. As if complaining about the mods being oppressive were any better.
I enjoyed it because of how different it was from Batman The Animated Series. I especially liked the often drastically different designs or interpretations of the villains.

every little word and every little stepI see your The Batman and raise you Loonatics Unleashed.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I never saw very much Loonatics Unleashed, so I don't have much of an opinion to form. I didn't hate it though.

every little word and every little step
I like the first Ben10 and American Dad (Family Guy is mediocre, though)
