I've noticed that most episodes don't really even bother with the idea of them being together. The last time I remember that being a thing was Thawfest. The rest of the show focuses on her as his Number Two / Lancer.

I really think that the only reason Hiccup set Astrid up with Snotlout was because it was made clear that the latter and the twins cannot be left unsupervised without getting into trouble and Fishlegs is too timid to control either. Hiccup and Astrid are the only ones that Snotlout and the twins actually listen to (relatively speaking), so when they're not all in a group, either Astrid or Hiccup has to be the one to keep them out of trouble

Very nice to see the writers give Ruffnut some individual development. Even before Zippleback down, anytime the twins got focused on, Tuffnut got the bulk of the focus, making his sister almost into a satellite character. As far as Hiccup and Astrid go, maybe the sequel coming up has something to do with the writers ignoring their relationship. That movie kind of sets certain character aspects in stone for the TV series.

Ok, after this episode and Zippleback Down, I can't be the only one waiting for Tuffnut and Ruffnut acting separatedly in a future episode riding Torch and Scauldy. I don't want Barf and Belch to go forever, but in an episode or two would be nice see them riding individual dragons.

I dig her hairdo so much.

Too bad it won't be in the sequel.

I really liked 'Frozen'. It was an overall fun episode and I like that the crew is including Gustav. It's nice to see that when they made him a junior member they actually meant it and he's a great foil for Snotlout.

Sad to see that Ruffnut's haircut didn't stick.

I was still hoping it'd stick for a few episodes in the series at least.

Those speedy little buggers reminded me of a combo of the raptors and compsognathids from the Lost World light gun game.

Ah, good times. Especially since my top score for it in a local arcade still stands.

Fishlegs has really been coming into his own this season, hasn't he?

I do think that Fishlegs was very good in this latest episode although I'm not sure where the animosity between Snotlout and Astrid came from. He always seemed to be more affectionate (in his own way) towards her and she seemed more annoyed with him than out-right angry. Still a good episode, but I think their fighting was a bit forced.

The lighting in this latest episode was gorgeous, and I really liked the interactions between Hiccup and Toothless. That being said, shot-limits continue to confuse me. I'm just going to say they are a general measure of a dragons stamina rather than a hard and fast rule for how many shots they can fire.

So, did this latest episode qualify as a Mushroom Samba? Technically it was an illness and not a drug, but the effect was nearly the same.

Actually, it was a drug - Toothless ate a hallucinogenic eel.

So two episodes I haven't watched yet? Going to watch the eel episode first, but I see you haven't commented on newest one

The newest one is really cool - I think it might be my favorite one of this season so far, in a season that already had a bunch of really great episodes.

Also, it seems really well animated. I mean, this one was just plain beautiful.

I have to say, the next two episodes have me a little worried. The one about Thornado's species doesn't sound so bad, but the one about Snotlout's expulsion and Alvin's "redemption" has me worried, especially considering how "We Are Family" went.

So, T Hornados is officially gone, and Snotlout has to take on the Screaming Death by himself. This should be fun to watch.

Thornado is really leaving? I'm really not sure how i'm going to react to that when i see it. I never like it when a recurring character leaves

It might be in order to keep continuity with the new movie. Speaking of which, what happens to the series once the movie is out? Do we get a time-skip, or will it just be business as usual?

Can't the series and the movie go separated ways and be treated as two different continuities? I think they should...
