Long Runners !When one ends, can't help but feel "Maybe I should wrap this up too...".
Secret SignatureEspecially considering Kochikame's author must be 70 or something by now...
No sign of them completely closing down. Some of the relative-newbies are still doing quite well, and several of the authors of the long runners that concluded are planning returns with new series.
Change of an era?
Check out my fanfiction!Basically. It happens with any publication sometimes, there were other eras before the one most identifiable with Naruto/Bleach/One Piece.
Yeah, the big names are closing down, but the new stars are still there. Jump still has Souma, Haikyuu, and Hero Academia to keep it afloat.
And One Piece hasn't ended yet, which will still bring in the readers.
But aside from it and Hiatus Hiatus, the oldest series is from 2012.
I hate the protagonist in Teppu more than I've hated any protagonist from anything I've ever seen.
Which just says more about how much I've seen, but still, kinda sold on this one. She's the interesting kind of asshole. I love how being backed into a corner with the kind of person she hates the most (someone bursting with bright confidence) makes her wanna get better just to watch them squirm, and reaffirm her domniance.
Edit: A lady just admitted that she and her male teacher fabricated a feud with one of the top fighters, by having said top fighter beat the shit out the teacher in a public sparring session, all for attracting viewers.
I am so in love, thi manga is lgit.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I love her for the exact same reasons. She's arrogant and cocky, but in a way you don't normally see in manga characters, let alone with a protagonist. In fact, in a normal series her rival would've been the protagonist. Just a pity it ended relatively quickly.
Mixed feelings on that.
I do feel there was potential in this being a long running sports fare, since there's hype put on Ringi and Mario that never went anywhere.
But Baby Steps fills my long-running sports series niche, the last match couldn't have been more hype, and the end of the series does fit.
Also, goddamn that last match. No pairing has been more one and true.
Teppu was real good, you guys. There's some Ping Pong-level psychological insight into these characters, especially our "heroine".
We don't see eye-to-eye, you and I, and that is totally fine

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I've read about seven chapters of Teppu, but I don't think I'll read more. Probably because I'm not that into sports anime/manga, as it's not that bad of a manga. Just not that interesting to me. Didn't like Baby Steps at all.
Closest to a sports manga I'm reading it probably Kono Oto Tomare!, which is a music series (koto, specifically). Still a lot about competitions and practice, so it's got a lot of the aspects of a sports manga, but with the addition of the music itself telling part of the story. Well, it's a bit on the tell rather than show side, considering there's no actual sound in a manga, but there's still a lot of show in the reactions to it.
Check out my fanfiction! In that regard, Ballroom e Youkoso looked pretty nice for the little I read − I had no idea it was in the Shonen Jump either... *self-slap*
Love Rush chapter 3: So Kokoro doesn't even try to hide she's a supernatural being. And now we have a shy succubus… Again, things are progressing pretty fast, though no real surprise this time.
I've tried to read a bit of E-Robot (Yamamoto Ryouhei's series before LR) and, eeh, the guy has improved quite a bit in art and writing... though the only scan I found was in Spanish so I'm not sure about the writing...

Are you sure you're not confusing it with Straighten Up!, another dancing manga, instead?
…Now I look stupid. I saw "e youkoso" in the subtitle so I got confused. =.=" That's what happens when you just skim over the chaps.
…BUT BEY does look nice too.

The best sports manga ever is Kokou no Hito.
It's not really a sports series in the traditional sense though.
currently reading Q.E.D. a mystery manga about Kana, a police officer daughter, who's very strong, upbeat, and can't leave people in trouble alone and her, ehm... friend, Touma a teen genius who graduated from MIT at the age of fourteen but enrolled into high school because he was curious what it's like to be a high school student. Together, they solve various cases that seem to pop up around the regularly.
It's a teen detective series at it's best. Clever mysteries that are varied in both setup as well as execution, and written in such a way that it's possible to figure out the answer yourself, which I find to be a hallmark of a good mystry. The characters are fun, and the series takes great delight in explaining various trivia in a interesting, easy to digest way.
I would recommend the series to anyone who like the mystery genre.
Did you like this season's Sweetness and Lightning but wish it had more Stepsibling shiptease, then boy george Ane no Onaka o Fukuramaseru wa Boku is a manga.
It's not offensive, but not mindblowing. The food element is kind of vestigal for now, the characters aren't as grounded as the one's in Sweetness, but their interactions and fine, and light fanservice/weird incestuous undertones aside, it hasn't gone all in on those chips just yet.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I actually picked that up a few days ago and read a chapter or two. How to put it... reading it I really got the feeling that the author would rather be doing a porn doujin instead. A incest shotacon porn doujin. In fact I would be willing to bet that he did so in the past.
Speaking of cute, but doujin-like, there's this manga called Musuko ga Kawaii something something the title's too long.
It's about a monster girl living together with her newborn son. Also lots of oppai.
Yes, that one. It's cute overall, but the artist obviously draws porn, and the mother's Doting Parent tendencies can sometimes veer into incest territory.
But I'm a sucker for familial love stories, so I can stand it. That scene where she teared up when the son called her "Mama" for the first time...I almost cried at that.
Many manga artists got their start drawing porn actually...
See Bleached Underpants for examples
I know that. I'm just saying that this manga in particular has a lot of porn-doujin qualities. You know, like when the mom get a semi-ahegao whenever the son does something.
Is Jump like... closing down? Recently all their titles seem to be ending.
