Alarmed, Blue Beetle shielded himself when DeWolff fired upon him. Soon after, havoc ensued as all the officers piled in around the mob boss.

"STOP!" He shouted, diving into the fry, knocking people in every direction. Unfortunately for him, he spent a little too long in the three point landing, and, in the next moment, a touch from Mister Negative had corruption subsuming his body.

"I do enjoy taking the pure of heart," said Mr Negative. "The inversion is always...so potent." He turned to Wasp. "Now, little insect, it seems your options have been limited. Surrender, or run. The choice is yours."

Jacob briefly mulled things over in his mind. He dealt with magic often enough and although he'd never met Doctor Fate he'd knew enough to figure out that his enemies weren't to be trifled with, darkforce or not.

"Where are the stolen items?

If they could find the machine they were trying to build, it followed that they could find whoever was behind this.

The Past

-*He can fly?* was Blue Diamond's reaction to Master Man's stunt. And now he was targeting the more vulnerable heroes! He should've expected that.

-"Come back here!" Diamond shouted, running after him. He needed to trick him into getting back within reach. Maybe striking at his ego?

-"I knew it, all you Aryans are just cowardly (insert German swear word here)!"

Master man

"HAHAHA, I am not like captain America. I am much more powerful than he ever could hope to be. You mutant trash are just like jews and gypsies. When we win this war we will eradicate YOU from the face of the earth," Masterman replied, laughing about Darwin's unusual features. The nazi would then attempt to fly-punch Darwin in the face with an 5 ton punch on his face.

After attacking Darwin, Diamonds words were certainly striking his ego and he couldn't resist to land and monologue in-front of him. In his mind the heroes didn't have a chance to stop the "superior man".

"Please, those words come hollow from a fellow Aryan," he replied to Diamond. "It's a shame some of you need a magical spear. Some of us can see the truth of the superiority of the white man without any magic trinkets," he said while spitting at the floor.

Darwin's face deformed from the impact like any face oughta, his body starting to swing back with the fist still pushing him.

This is more of description of what happened within a fraction of a second. Now pillars erupted from his back, shoulders and head that impaled themselves into the ground, and these pillars erupted with capillaries. Darwin's face started to reform against Master Man's fist.

It was like a normal man punched a slab of jello and midimpact, even as his fist was still ramming through the jello, the jello suddenly turned into concrete and, reasserted its original shape and it didn't give a damn that his fist happened to be in the way.

Well, the insult seemed to work- Master Man was now standing within Blue Diamond's reach.

"Aryan? Nooo" the costumed hero snarked back. "I'm AMERICAN, pal, I stand for all people. Except bigots like YOU!" Noticing that the villain seemed trapped into the strangely-transformed Grey Boy, he took a mighty swing at the supervillain.

Past

With his fist trapped on Darwin's face, Masterman was not able to dodge Blue diamonds surprise punch as he visibly shook and fell to the floor.

While the nazi superman was at least though enough to be bulletproof, it was obvious that blue diamond's attack had hurt him. Nonetheless he had been trying to toy with the heroes and he was much stronger than he had implied. Masterman used some of his hidden strength to free himself from Darwin, while he slowly stood up.

"Not bad, for a freak" he muttered.

Yonkers

Rogue sighed and nodded, "Even if it is another dead end, it's still a crime bein' committed so let's check it out."

Rogue glanced over at Mary, "You carry Tandy again, since I still don't wanna risk my power on her."

Rogue would let Mary Marvel lead them to the metahuman fight in progress.

Ravencroft

"No, don't get too close-" Wasp cried out in alarm as she saw Blue Beetle pausing, her blood running cold when Mr negative managed to get a hit in and do... whatever it was he did.

Oh, not good... The half-dozen cops with guns was bad enough, but even the short time she'd seen the power-armoured hero operate told her she was woefully out-gunned here. Goddamnit, not on my first day...

"This- this is not over!" She jabbed one finger at Mr negative as she hovered overhead, then turned and gunned her wings, zipping away as fast as she could.

Present/ West Bronx Bronx

Mary nodded in agreement to Rogue as she too hoped they could at least help with whatever was happening.

After sometime flying Mary would lead them to the rooftop as she would land near Oliver and Congorilla.

From afar she would notice Tye and two other people talking. "That's Tye!" she told Rogue excitedly, while pointing at him, as she recognized him from his previous incident earlier this morning with SG and Rocket. "When he sees you, we will be able to rescue your bro-,"Mary blushed embarrassed. I mean friend,"she said to Tandy enthusiastically.

"Be careful, he has some kind of teleporting powers. Last time I saw him, he send us to a dark and creepy dimension," she informed both Dagger and Rogue, while she briefly shook in fear just from remembering the incident." Trust me it wasn't a happy place to be at all..." she added.

Mary would turn around and quickly notice, to her surprise that an archer in a green costume talking with a blond gorilla, as well as Tye being near a strange purple man and a giant wolf. Her eyes opened wide as she rubbed them at least twice to be sure her sight wasn't deceiving her.

"umh... Good day. My name is Mary Marvel," she would greet both Oliver and Congorilla. "Sorry to interrupt you, but what's going on?" she asked bluntly due to the fact that she still couldn't believe the bizarre scene they were in.

"Umm, did we miss something?" Rogue landed and then tilted her head sideways at what was apparently Ty, a purple man, a blond ape, and and green archer. "I'm pretty sure we missed something."

Mister Negative's laughter rang in Wasp's ears as she made her escape. He turned to his newest acquisition. [[gray:"Now, Beetle. Would you like to help me with a little project."

Blue Beetle, now more of a brownish red and white beetle, was silent for a moment. His thoughts were a little jumbled at the moment, and everything was a little muggy. He could still hear his own voice in his head, and he could hear Khaji Da's voice too. But there was something else as well. Something tiny and tangled, like the consciousness equivalent of a ball of lint. It sounded like both like his voice, and Khaji Da's, only it was babbling things that made no sense for him. Something about helping people, or obeying the Reach, or teamwork or friends or love and duty or some shit like that. Why would he need any friends? Why would Khaji Da listen to those Reach fucks? Why in gods name would he care about helping those inbred ingrate shit-for-brains filling up the city? He didn't want anybody, didn't need nobody. Nobody but Mister Negative.

"Sure, boss. Why not?" he said with a cruel grin.

"Ah! Representatives of the cape and costume crowd!" said Congorilla, holding out a paw to shake hands. "Congorilla, golden gorilla and agent of SHIELD Paranormal Containment Unit, at your service. Thank you for your concern, but we have the situation well in hand at the moment.

"Inside my cloak," Ty replied. "My body is a portal into a pocket dimension of utter darkness. It seemed like the safest place to store them for now..."

"TY!"

"...Tandy?" The colour drained from the boy's face as the young girl came rushing over to meet him.

Jacob initially ignored the new arrivals, focusing on the conversation.

"Then we must make sure the machine is never asembl-"

He stopped as Tandy approached and Ty reaction. The werewolf stepped aside to allow passage across the increasingly crowded rooftops and looked over at the other new arrivals, although he kept an eye of Ty as diffusing this situation was still the top priority.

Present/ Yonkers

"Nice to meet you Congorila," Mary said shaking his paw happily. "I had never seen a talking Gorilla before. I think that's pretty sweet!" she told him excitedly.

Mary then reacted in surprise as Tandy ran towards Tye. It seemed to be a heart-warming scene. She smiled, a tear coming from her face from seeing the friends reunited again. But she was still ready to intervene in case something bad happened.

Past

"...this fight is getting tiresome," Masterman told the heroes "It's on your best interest to stop or...well," Masterman laughed.

He pointed at a radio from the wrecked car and told them "I knew you wouldn't go down easily so I got a deal for you. Those nasty jews, you love so much. We are going to kill 200 of them, if I don't call my lieutenant," he said told Blue diamond, with a visible expression of disgust on his face, before kicking him in the stomach.

"Only I can order them to stop. Tell your friends to surrender, or the pests die," he grinned." What's your choice Americans?" he told the heroes mockingly.

Yonkers

"SHIELD, that I know," Rogue looked slightly annoyed, but nonplussed as she shook Congorilla's hand as well, and glanced over at Mary when she said she never met a talking gorilla. "I have a space raccoon on my speed dial. You get used to it."

"Speaking of the space raccoon, you one of Rocket's friends?" Rogue said to Congorilla, though he would notice that her eyesight was focused on Ty and Tandy, and she pointed at Tandy. "We had checked out one of his robberies and found his friend there looking for him, and we believe someone's been controlling him to commit these robberies."

"In any case, I don't think you want us to leave quite yet," Rogue began to try to find a spot to sit, actually happy to have something of a break. "We'll let y'all handle the current situation, but I don't think we should leave quite yet."

"I'll fill in the details if something I know comes up," Rogue finished, looking back over at Tandy and Ty again. "And if you want my credentials, ask Coulson about the Rogue. He knows who I am."

Darwin's Mindscape

Armondo leaned forward, "Shit!" It seemed very clear to the boy that Master Man had them pinned with that but...

Past

"Stopping Raven is more important," Darwin said once he rushed over and grabbed Blue Diamon, dragging him up. He said it for his ears only, "A lot more people then 200 will die if we don't."

The Past

Raven stood patiently as the men discussed their opinions on her proposal. The loud one left to take care of some invaders, likely her friends and the current heroes of this time. Lucky her. She smiled to the remaining member and said "   Looks like we do not have a lot of time. Shall we?   "

"Um...right." Ollie said, looking confused at the talking ape that was addressing him.

"What exactly is going on right now?"

Present

"Thanks," Mary nodded after Rogue mentioned Rocket. In her mind he was so cute that for a moment she had forgotten that he was a talking raccoon.

"...And I am with her,"Mary added shyly after Rogue gave her credentials. " We will be ready in case you need any help", she told Congorilla.

She then tried to sit Close, infront of Rogue to rest a bit. Surprisingly even after all the hardships she was only tired mentally thanks to her powers. Phsycally she wasn't exhausted at all. But as a kid she would be already sleeping, no doubt.

Master Man suddenly felt something drop onto his back, and wrap its arms around his neck. The Destroyer tightened the headlock. "New deal:" he rasped, "Give the order, before I give you pain like you never thought possible, kraut!"

"I don't see why not," said the Dragon King. "Now, how best to begin?"

"Very well." Congorilla cordially nodded to Rogue, then turned to Mr Queen. "It seems the superhero community is getting involved..."

Over with Jacob, the reunion between Ty and Tandy began.

"Ty, are you okay? I've been looking everywhere for you!"

"I...I-...I didn't want you to see me this way...doing-"

"Oh, don't give me that, Ty! You're my best friend! Just let me-"

"No! ...no. I have to keep going. I have to complete my task."

"What task? Robbing labs and warehouses to make the voices in your head happ-"

"You don't understand!"

"Then help me!"

"The v-...the voices...I can hear them, feel them, all the time, constantly. They're like worms, or...or maggots, squirming all over my head. I can't get them off, and if I ignore them, they just get louder, sharper, painfully so! ...I have to do this, Tandy. I have to finish the job, keep them satisfied-"

"And you really think that'll get them to leave you alone?"

Ty was stunned into silence. His head retreated further into the folds of his cloak. He had no answer for Tandy, but what was the alternative? Then, Tandy put a hand on his shoulder. It glowed with a soft, warm light, and gave him cause for a moment.

"Ty...please. Let me help you. Let us help. I've met these new people, really friendly types. They can help you. We can get you through this. Stealing's not the way."

Past

"Do as you want American," Masterman laughed to The destroyer. "I am ready to die for my fuhrer If I must. You can hurt me all you want, or even kill me. But that wouldn't save them, would it? "

Masterman then replied to Darwin as he had hear the first part of his conversation. "You mean your gypsy friend? It's obvious she is trying to betray us with her vagueness and play of words. When she stops being useful I will kill her myself".

"Gypsy? Woo boy, are you off the mark there, buddy," Darwin said, actually smirking now, "And are you sure you'll be able to snuff her if she gets her hands on that fuckin' spear?

"Pretty soon, you might find something screaming in your head and next moment, it's you, going, 'HEIL RABE!'"

Wasp streaked above the streets, away from Ravencroft, chewing her lip as she frantically tried to come up with a plan. That creep could be about to blow up half the city, or... Her eyes widened. Or take over an army of crazy Ravencroft inmates. Shit! Why didn't I get Booster's frequency?

Spotting a cop car pulled up on the curb below, she swooped down and hovered by the drivers-side window, hammering on the glass with one fist until it was opened.

"Hey, this is an emergency! Some psycho gangster guy has your chief and the freaking Blue Beetle under mind control, I need to call in more superheroes!" She was breathing hard, looking slightly manic as she put her hands in her hips. "What's the Justice Avenger's frequency?"

Jacob watched quietly as Tandy pacified Ty. He added to her statement, trying to speak as softly as a 6'8 wolf-man could.

"She's right. Us -" He indicated to himself and quickly pointed at Congorilla.

" - them -" He pointed to the others. He had no idea he could trust them but Ty seemed to trust her and she trusted them so it would be alright for now.

" We can help. Find the source of problem."

Present

While the werewolf was speaking with Tye and Tandy. Mary could only watch them from afar, looking at Tye worried.

Not that she didn't want to show her support. But she wondered if it would be, probably for the best, not get closer for right now and risk getting Tye anxious like the last time. After all he could just run away with Tandy, with no way to track him, if the situation got out of control.

"Do you think we should talk to him?" she asked the more experienced Rogue. After all if anybody knew something about feeling as an outcast and running away for being misunderstood it was her.

Mary only nodded from her place, in support when Jacob said that he could count on them

Past

"You underestimate us Mutant,"— Master Man made an expression of disgust towards Darwin—" My master ruled the mystic arts before you were even born. We have seen through her deception the instant she arrived."

Then Darwin mentioned the spear effects as they seemed familiar to what little Master Man knew about it. It was now obvious to him that Darwin had been affected by it. "We know the spears only works on magical beings, those susceptible to magic and the weak minded... like you it seems. Someone or something must be helping you..."

Masterman then struggled and tried to shook out the destroyer. "Your time is running out americans... what is your choice going to be?"
