Movie!Shaw would be pretty awesome. I'd say go for it.

Here we go:

  • Name: Sebastian Hiram Shaw.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Age: Unknown.
  • Appearance: Yeah, he's played by Kevin Bacon, what of it?
  • Alignment: Evil.
  • Personality: Outwardly Shaw is charming and pleasant, even to his enemies. He prides himself on using manipulation, cunning, money and connections to achieve his goals. When tact and manipulation fails however, he is perfectly willing to resort to violence.
  • Powers and Abilities: Shaw as a mutant, has the ability to absorb energy, and once absorbed into his body, he use this energy to augment his strength and speed to superhuman levels, and is able to project the stored energy into energy blasts, allowing him to kill people. He is also able to absorb the energy of any blow he is struck by, including not only physical strikes, but also bullets, and energy blasts. He is however vulnerable to telepathic and magical attacks.
  • Origin: X Men First Class's Shaw shares some of the backstory of Mr Sinister. His early life (including his time of birth) is largely unknown, although apparently he became a self-made billionaire at a fairly young age. At his earliest recorded appearance, Sebastian Shaw (under the alias Dr. Klaus Schmidt) was a scientist working for the Nazis during WWII. He was present in the concentration camp where a young Erik Lehnsherr's mutant powers first manifested. Shaw attempted to coax the boy into consciously using his ability but to no avail. He then threatened to shoot the boy's mother if he did not move a small gold coin made out of Nazi gold by the time he counted to three. When Erik failed to do so, Shaw executed his mother. This enraged him greatly, causing him to lash out with his powers, killing two guards to the delight of Shaw. He then congratulated the traumatized young mutant. Years later, Sebastian emerged as the leader of the Hellfire Club, an international group of the world's social elite. Unbeknownst to most of the club's members, it is run by mutants with aspirations of world domination.

Just a suggestion that Shaw Enterprises might have absorbed a share of the arms trade that Tony Stark recently a bandoned. The Big Four in this universe are Stark Enterprises, Lex Corp, Oscorp and Wayne Enterprises but having Shaw trying to make it the Big Five might be a subplot.

[up][up] Accepted. I'll let you know when he can come in, and if you like, give you a brief sum-up of the mutant conflict thus far.

[up] Shaw Enterprises? Really?

Just as a light dash of preparation, these broadcasts from Jack Ryder's station, from last in-game week and this very in-game night should give you an idea of what Mr Shaw might know already.

You know with that version of Sebastian Shaw's backstory, I'm imagining this world's Magneto just carrying that small gold coin of his in case he ever discovers "Klaus Schmidt".

Nope. Mystique has, but any other members of the Brotherhood haven't been sighted.

Well, if we go by the comics, the Brotherhood of Mutants, if it exists, is probably in the original state like the X-Men currently are. Basically, it would consist of Magneto, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Toad and Mastermind.

Well, you can have Emma Frost, as well as Azazel and Riptide as part of your Hellfire Club, but Lizard will have to make the decision of if you're able to directly control them versus them being just NPCs that your character can send on errands.

Actually, given the particular mutants of the movie version of the Hellfire Club compared to the three other PC mutants, you could probably also get away with asking for Movie!Version Angel Salvadore.

  • Name: Miss Martian
  • Real Name: Megan Morse
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: The human biological equivalent of her age is 16.
  • Appearance: "This is the best one I could find- unfortunately, it's not one of me smiling..."
  • Alignment: Good
  • Personality: Miss Martian is a bubbly, really sweet, polite and caring girl. Although she's occasionally shy and quite inexperienced, she'll go to great lengths to make sure everyone is pleased with her work. She's also very unfamiliar with Earth customs, and will sometimes mess up thanks to how different Mars' society is from Earth's.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Physical:
      • Shapeshifting: She can change her form completely to alter her physical appearance, clothing and even mimic other people (she does have some difficulty with shifting into male forms). Her power is not restricted to humanoid forms, for example: she can grow several extra arms or gills and a mermaid tail.
      • Camouflage: She can change the appearance of her form (and her clothes) to match her surroundings, but she is not completely invisible. Her Bio-Ship also has a camouflage mode that she can activate telepathically.
      • Super strength: Like all Martians, Miss Martian has strength above that of a human.
    • Mental:
      • Telepathy: Telepathy comes natural to Martians, and although she had trouble with it at first, she has come to terms with it on Earth. She often uses a telepathic link with her teammates, which makes communications easier and untraceable. Megan can also telepathically connect with her Bio-Ship, and she can use her telepathy to automatically translate languages.
      • Telekinesis: Megan has used telekinesis to manipulate many objects with her mind. However, she can lose control when moving too many objects at once or not paying enough attention. By telekinetically moving herself, she can also simulate flight.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Bio-Ship: Miss Martian's personal techno-organic ship used by the Team for transportation. While on standby, it resembles a giant egg. Once she initializes it with a mental command, the Bio-Ship instantly morphs. The interior and exterior can be reconfigured to accommodate the situation, such as providing seats for extra passengers. The ship can activate a camouflage mode and become practically invisible.
  • Origin: If you ask her, this is what she'll tell you: M'gann is Martian Manhunter's niece, and her uncle has kindly taken her to Earth for a visit that was quickly extended into what can soon become a permanent stay on this nice little planet called Earth. Reason why Origin is so short? I'm currently on episode 18 of the first season of Young Justice, and I know that there's more to her backstory- so I'm leaving her like this for now.

Looking good, Strato, looking good. Obviously, we don't have a Martian Manhunter here, but that's not to say he isn't somewhere else in the world.

I'll let you watch more of Young Justice first, and see if you want to change anything for the backstory. I, for one, haven't seen any full episodes of Young Justice. I have, however, seen a number of clips detailing M'gann's big secret.

If you say so.

Also, this would give me incentive to have a Skrull invasion. I'm thinking Skrulls are highly resentful of the Ma'aleca'andrans, seeing as the Skrull's shapeshifting powers are comparatively limited.

[up]I'm thinking that, despite Skrulls only being able to completely and fully transform into a single being at a time, that single transformation would be SO good, the only two things that can ID the transformed Skrull as a Skrull are the Emotional Spectrum.........and Reach sensors......

Well, possibly. But one must also consider whether or not we allow them to mimic superpowers just yet.

[up]Superpowers may be the only hurdle. Regular Skrulls could probably use the weakest variations of a covers' superpowers with extended training, but otherwise they would not be able to unless they go through painful genetic procedures, which the Skrull ONLY do upon their own kind if they are either voluntary and/or on death row.

I have a plan.

I've went over some things with Liz and made some things clear, so I have his conformation to do what I'm about to do. So, at the risk of the torches and pitchforks...

  • Name: Rorschach
  • Real Name: Renée Maria Montoya
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 42 (September 7th, 1970)
  • Appearance: In Costume. The woman behind the mask.
  • Alignment: Evil
  • Personality: Rorschach is creepy and antisocial, and doesn't display much of a feminine posture despite obviously being a woman. She tends to speak as little as possible, often ignores what other people are saying to her, and her voice is either a raspy, unsettling monotone or a raging growl, depending on her mood. She does not trust any superheroes and makes it a point to avoid the police, but has a soft spot for children. Rorschach is not above using firearms or lethal force on criminals.
  • Renée Montoya is similarly antisocial and morose, but not to the extent that Rorschach is. Though she was once a headstrong and capable woman, Montoya is now depressed and disheveled, risking eviction from her apartment and all too willing to spend what little money she has on alcohol. Despite her antisocial behavior, Montoya desperately wishes to have a friend.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Strength: Renée Montoya possesses the strength level of a woman her age, size and weight who engages in intensive regular exercise.
    • Police Training: Renée graduated from the police academy with top honors, and has served Gotham City as a police officer for years.
    • Expert Detective: Renée is a trained detective, and has a natural ability for investigative work.
    • Interrogation: As Rorschach, Renée takes full advantage of her intimidating appearance to interrogate her foes. Rorschach can and will resort to methods that most other heroes shy away from.
  • Weapons and Equipment: The alleged "Rorschach" has a small arsenal of gadgets and weapons patterned after Batman's own tools, which she obtained while spending time with Two-Face in Gotham.
    • Inkblot Mask: Rorschach's most distinguishing feature is her mask. Created inside a lab, Rorschach's mask is made of white cloth with a black inkblot pattern that constantly changes shapes, remaining symmetrical on its horizontal sides as it does so.
    • Gas-Powered Grappling Hook: Rorschach's favorite tool is her heavy gas-powered grappling hook pistol. It is quite similar to Batman's grapple gun, and is capable of lifting several hundred pounds of weight up quickly with its internal motor. A strike to the head from the grapple gun's hook can easily kill a human being.
    • Gas-Powered Claw Gun: Rorschach's other main tool is a lighter pistol with a built-in claw and line. Similar to her grapple gun, the claw gun is a less powerful but more versatile version of the grapple gun. The claw gun isn't as strong as the grapple gun, and can't lift a human being from the ground, but it can be used to pull down or tug on objects from a distance.
    • Police Weapons: In addition to the gadgets Two-Face gave her, Renée also possess a small arsenal of police firearms, which she smuggled from the GCPD and brought to her new apartment in New York.
    • Police Equipment: Renée took some equipment from the GCPD arsenal before she fled to New York City. Renee possesses tac vests, gas masks, tear gas grenades, and forensics equipment.
  • Origin:
    • The daughter of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Renée Maria Montoya graduated with top honors from the Gotham City Police Academy, and was partnered with Crispus Allen. As the caped crusader Batman made his rounds in Gotham, Montoya and Allen were able to witness Batman's handiwork first-hand in the city.
    • Corrupt cop Jim Corrigan grew jealous of the two, and framed Allen for murder. Montoya clashed with Corrigan and quickly cleared Allen's charges, but became infuriated and obsessed as Corrigan was still allowed to be a police officer. Allen later set out to expose Corrigan as he noticed Montoya became increasingly depressed, but was murdered before he could finish his case. The GCPD failed to make an investigation on Jim, so Montoya set out on her own to stop him. After brutally interrogating Corrigan, Montoya discovered the perpetrator behind the corruption in the GCPD, and the man who bribed Corrigan into killing Allen: Two-Face. An increasingly erratic Montoya set out to take down Two-Face as the other police refused to do so.
    • Two-Face fell in love with Renée Montoya the moment they met, and spared her the coin flip even though she made it clear she was going to arrest him. Montoya grew more and more reluctant to apprehend Two-Face as his "good" side shined through, and within one night, she convinced him to withdraw his informants from the GCPD. Montoya left Two-Face free, convinced that he would stay true to his promise, but just as she left back home, Two-Face discovered that Montoya was a lesbian. Outraged and heartbroken, Two-Face went back on his promise and attempted to ruin Montoya's life so she would be forced to stay with him.
    • Just one day after, Renée Montoya was demoted to a desk job by her higher-up, Max Eckhardt, and her parents cut off all ties from her. As she made further inquires, she discovered that Two-Face had revealed that she was a lesbian to the public. Disgusted and horrified, Montoya quit the force. Being ousted by Two-Face was the last straw, and under all of the pressure, Montoya finally snapped. Montoya scrounged together some of the gifts that Two-Face had given to her prior and created a costumed identity with which she could fight crime. She was eventually named "Rorschach" as she gained notoriety in Gotham's criminal underworld, and the name spread to the GCPD shortly after.
    • As Rorschach, Renée Montoya murdered Corrigan while he was in prison and targeted Two-Face next, but faced repeated defeats at the hands of Two-Face's crew. She gave up after narrowly avoiding her death at the hands of the GCPD, and left Gotham forever shortly after. Montoya vanished, and Rorscach was presumed dead after her disappearance. In reality, Montoya moved to New York City, where she eked out her existence in a lower-income neighborhood in the Bronx, quitting her life as Rorschach. Unemployed, alone, and miserable, Montoya became an alcoholic to deal with her pain, which only served to make her life worse. She found herself unable to pay the rent as she began a drinking habit.
    • Poor, addicted, and about to be evicted, Montoya grew more and more eager to become Rorschach once again as crime rates in her neighborhood grew out of control. It is to be seen if she will put the mask back on in her new home of New York City.
