Arguments about the picture showing something different you have to actively think about to misinterpret it like that. Comes from claiming that blood in a picture could be red paint, I believe.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.

Their posture in the first is similar and not at all expressive. Don't buy it.

v 7.1, sorry.

The description (and name) immediately brings to mind Betty and Veronica, to me. Or maybe Sugar and Spice?

I'd love it if we could have sugar and spice on the page. Mods, allowable?

I don't see anything particularly bad about the pic...what are they from?

I have no idea. I didn't want anyone to be like OMG, FETISH GEAR!! BURN IT!

Sugar and Spice is probably the best so far.

[up]Both of those play with desire, though.

Sugar is more demure about it tho.

She's listed as a subverted example, though, in that she's probably worse than Spice. It doesn't rule them out as a picture, but I still think it's better to have a straight example.

I think the pic in post #7 would be best. Both of the women in the sugar and spice pic do play with desire.

But that one doesn't really show "desire". It just seems more like she has a 'tude. In 7-2 she has more of a seductive pose.

My biggest problem with that one is that one is standing in front of the other, as if she's better or more important.

Characters not being an actual example are a strike against, but not an automatic out. Since this is a hard trope to show, I'd say that Sugar and Spice could work as an image, but perhaps not the image where you can see all of what Sugar is wearing. Perhaps this would work better?

((Mod-hat is for clarification of rules, not the image suggestion.))

Hotlinked images don't work in modhatted posts either.

Huh, ninja'd.

Well, that has the colour contrast and the "devilish" part, but the yellow-haired one looks rather less "angelic" to me.

It's good enough for me - the difference is clearly there, even if it could be greater; since we have a hard time finding a better image, this is acceptable.

Yeah, it's not a perfect image, but I think it's the best we've seen so far. I remember another discussion on this a while back, and there was a lot of trouble then, too.

I think that may be as good as we can get. Go with that one, or do a crowner?
