Current is much better than the suggestion.
Though of all running endings, I like Kanon the most. Infinite Stratos isn't bad either.

Maybe I'm being a bit Fan Myopic, but Fullmetal Alchemist had "READY STEADY GO" for OP2... If I could find a version with the credits over the OP, that would also work as a suggestion.

Okay...the FMA is alright, but kinda fuzzy and artifacted, so I dunno that we could get a good screencap. The Hidamari pic is good, but I like the simplicity of the current a bit more.

The main problem with this current image is that the image is of someone in space. I know anime seldom gets physics get in the way of a good image, but the current choice of picture could just be someone floating in space rather than running. As a replacement I'd suggest a picture from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP, or ending, both of which portray the title character running. I'll start with the opening picture as it's less trippy and thus easier to understand.
