Terrible picture, as much as I love Sandman. First, the Endless aren't deities, as previously stated, and even if they were, you can't tell that from the picture. Supporting pull.

I don't think Sheogorath's appearance would be a problem since that can be easily rectified by having some subtitles of him speaking about something crazy.

Maybe a picture of Discord could work. He looks bizarre enough to convince anyone he isn't human, and I bet we can find something that shows his screwy behavior well.

Kind of. He could pass for a fallen angel of old mythology. The closest he gets to looking like a god is when he's seen sitting on a throne in a surreal landscape.

If you can get a good shot of him Reality Warping, then it might work.

I agree that he's a perfect example of the trope, but I don't know if any screenshot from the series will be able to illustrate it well enough... I'm going to look at some fanart.

Long as it gets the "godly" bit across, Discord works at wiki size. I think it does because it's clearly his work and one would have to have god-like powers to do that, as well as tropes being flexible for if he isn't actually a god (I can't remember properly).

Huh. That actually looks a lot better than expected. I'll vote for that. He definitely looks wacky, which covers the "Mad" part, and his body language tells me he's responsible for the crazy scene going on in the background, which covers the "God" part. Looks pretty good.

Why not? He's presenting something he's proud of and happy with; I reckon it's clear he's responsible.

Happy about it, sure. Responsible? "Proud of"? That's a lot of interpretation of that pose. It invokes a bunch of information that isn't there. Whatever, tho.

I agree with that. It's not all that awesome, but it does sort of convey the trope, which is more than I can say about any other pic I've seen.

That's actually a lot better than I expected it would be! It's the best at illustrating the trope, so far, in my opinion. =)

Discord works pretty well. Clearly weird background stuff going on, odd mismatched chimera thing looking pleased. The only leap someone looking at the image needs to make is "That thing is responsible for all the weirdness."

It isn't necessarily the strongest representative of both Madness and Godliness in one image, but it's the best so far in the topic and isn't JAFAAC.

That picture works well enough for me. Better than Delirium, and certainly better than no pic.

All it needs is a caption that cements the "thing is causing the chaos" part and it'll work fine.

Only problem I have is that the right half of the image is already in use on Reality Is Out to Lunch.
