…You know, I wonder if making the rankings apparent in the order doesn't cause a sort of Firefly Effect among potential fans of a series. It's easy to not bother supporting a series, however much you like it, when you can plainly see it's not very popular and likely to be axed soon. It's kind of a vicious circle.
That's the tragic fate of everything unpopular— the cool kids get to hog the attention.
…Yuuna-san's popularity poll is presented with every girl losing their swimsuits. Classy.
So after 4 chapters, I can safely say that Cross Account is far more interesting when the focus is on Nanoka. Mugai-kun and Mao's side is just tasteless romcom routine, but I can sympathise with Nanoka.
Cross Account got its first ranking (I think?) and yeah, it isn't good. The author seems adamant in ruining any potential Mao could have as a character. Outside of the whole "tomboy becoming a 'real girl' by showing her vulnerable side to her crush" that I find annoying and honestly a little disturbing, originality is nowhere to be found here.
Hungry Marie has been dead last for a while but it's still going, and still funny. Dunno how long it will last.
What ranks did Shudan get? I really like Yokota Takuma's storytelling style.
9 or 10-ish? Somewhere in the second half. Mediocre ranking, but not in the danger zone it seems.
Wow, Robot x Laserbeam sure jumps around a lot.
Damn Shudan & Cross Account are both fucking last.
Two of their newest series bombed & the rest of the last batch are on their way out. Hungry Marie is gonna get the axe soon that's for sure.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Either they're letting Hungry Marie finish its third volume or they're really confident that it will take off, but it's sure spending a lot of time at the bottom. Love Rush was axed almost immediately by comparison. >.>
They only axe series when they have new series to replace them with. Hungry Marie got lucky, and when it was time for new premiers it was a lower cut priority than Poro or U19.
Yeah. And some series like magico get lucky and stay at the bottom for a solid year.
Huh… With a little luck, Cross Account will manage to be even less popular and allow HM to be spared. >.> (Yeah, I know it's horrible to wish for a series to fail…)

Cross Account's rank is about what I expected, really.
Shudan fortunately is still on lower middle, same rank as Straighten Up. Hopefully it can last as long as, if not longer, than the previous series.
I remember Stars (a more fluffy, G-rated Ender's Game more or less) trucking along for like a year and a half close to the very bottom a couple years back.
I'm surprised Robo Lee still hasn't been cancelled.
Rurouni Kenshin is back for an other run, with a surprise appearance by the last character I would have expected to see again.

Huh, not a very good ranking for Heroaca this week. But Robot Laserbeam is no. 1.
Isn't there a new live action movie coming out too?
Apparently so: http://www.animenewsnetwork.cc/news/2017-09-03/newspaper-new-live-action-rurouni-kenshin-film-in-the-works/.120897
It seems like this is the only series Watanabe's fans want to see from him...
I just got a free trial of the english Shonen Jump, and I haven't been reading any of these series, so could anyone give me any recommendations about which series would be easiest to jump into right now without context?
I already know I'm going to at least try One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Rurouni Kenshin, since I've seen parts of their anime adaptations.
You're just in time. Bayble Cuber's going to watch an inkle dribble adventure from days of old on my holo-pyramid viewer.Hungry Marie got lucky, since it seems the dark gods that Jump occasionally sacrifices a new series to got sated with Poro and U19... for now.
At least We Never Learn is doing pretty well. So that's one good thing to come out of the whole thing.
With a little luck, it could sneakily push Cross Account onto the chopping board. That series is already getting pretty desperate. 11 chapters in and we're already at the "MC falling into the women's bath and trying to hide." It just doesn't deserve to live at this point. =[
It depends, does the English Jump have the same series as the Japanese one?

It's mostly the same isn't it?

Last 2 weeks.
It really doesn't, to me.
