The current image does not directly illustrate the trope, because it's a comics thing. Nevertheless, it's good enough until someone provides a better image - Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

If this isn't a good one, there are TONS of Simpsons examples (they actually lampshade the four fingers on the show a lot).
Keep Until Better Image Suggested, even if it's a real hand.

5 is confusing, why are there five fingers on the paper while the characters are consistently four-fingered?

Lisa is reading an article in a magazine about how in the future, humans will have five fingers.
Beside the point, anyway; what's great about the image is how it juxtaposes the in-universe four fingers with the real-life five, context be damned.
