I know. And they were still together. With RG having fallen in love with her mind-rapist still being unaddressed.
If I'd read Defenders first before the Kang Dynasty, I'd probably be pretty darn pissed.
She seemed more resigned during Kang War
Thor is going to kill Presence and as I recall she says something like 'completely wouldn't blame you but if you do I'd be completely alone so why don't I fix this radioactive zombie thing and I'll try to keep the asshole in line from now on?'
It is incredibly messed up though

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe Avengers #4 kiss: Yeah, I definitely see where you're coming from. The kiss itself didn't really work for me, either. That said, Sam saying he needs a minute did make me laugh. It definitely feels like a cliche, and should've been avoided.
On characters falling in love with rapists/brainwashers: Yeah, that was a problem. Still is, honestly. It's a pretty standard storytelling device, actually. Which is really creepy.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Controversies over the depiction of sexual consent in fiction are still relatively common, unfortunately. Just from the '10s there's been Skyfall (James Bond seducing a traumatized sex trafficking victim), Batwoman (Title character is hypnotized into sleeping with a Lesbian Vampire and it's revealed she secretly liked it), and our own Superior Spider-Man to name a few.

Preview for All-New, All-Different Avengers #5
In which the inconceivable happens.
Is the inconceivable thing that Ms. Marvel briefly leaves the team(which every Avenger has done a bunch)or that Vision is evil?
I can't bring myself to like ANAD Avengers.

yo vizh what the hell
Also is "Cap taught me judo" a Marvel trope yet?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers...that's it?

First one.
I mean, I only read the first issue of Kamala's pre-SW solo series and even I'm sort of feeling funny in the eyes.
But yeah, something screwy's going on with Vision. First he's blackmailed Nova and now this. Next thing you know, he's gonna target Miles.

Wonder if its related to whats going on in Vision's own book. It would be a bit of a curve ball if so
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhat the hell is up with Vision? Could it be connected to what's going on in his series?
Judging from solicits, the next Ms. Marvel arc likely takes place during this issue of ANAD Avengers, right?

Oh God! Natural light!Wow, what the hell, Vision? Why'd you have to get Kamala kicked off the Avengers like that?
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. You know, the hints of the apocalyptic in Vision make me wonder if something seriously bad is at work here...
It's worth noting that the prequel for ANADA in Avengers # 0 only featured Vision among the current team. I think he's pretty obviously the central figure to all of this, and maybe for events in the near future as well.

Oh God! Natural light!Life as a family man has convinced Vision that children are too precious to risk in open battle against supervillains and worse. Thus, he wages a campaign to discredit underage superheroes, first individually and then generalizing to the idea that they can't be trusted to run around dodging energy blasts until they're of age.
An interesting idea, but how does blackmailing Nova fit into that?
Oh God! Natural light!Dunno about the specifics, but it's a useful handle to have for a heckuva lot of things. Especially since, in the unlikely event my wild spitballing is in any way accurate, Nova'd be one of the ones he's trying to discredit.
Thinking about it a little more, a villain with a grudge chasing after a hero isn't really that momentous. Occupational hazard, really. But finding out Nova didn't come clean about it when the matter came up is going to look worse.
Still nettled about that, huh, Jen?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDid anyone point out that the revealed cover for ANAD Avengers shows our All New Wasp◊(grumble didn't need a new one grumble)?
The red reminds me of the MCU suit from what little we saw off it(and the Red Queen/Hope Pym).

because it most likely is going to be hope pym to make it like the movie.
They show up again in the Busiek run of Avengers
I had wondered who they were.
