• Name: Callodes C. Castamiglia

• Appearance: Callodes is a rather effeminately handsome youth who walks with a confident, almost careless stride. He's almost always smiling and seems to rarely ever fully open his eyes. He makes sure his uniform is always clean and neat. He has somewhat mid-length blond hair and dark brown-red eyes that are, according to his family, emblematic of a male Castamiglia.
• Backstory: Callodes has not had a very easy life, having to not only try throughout his first year to make borderline perfect marks, but also deal with being put up for an arranged marriage as early as age 12 to try to make a link between Castamiglia and a family called the Ibranovs, but it was called off when the Castamiglias noticed something "strange" about their son. The girl, four years Callodes' senior at the time, "vanished". Callodes seemed hurt by this, as he actually rather liked her. As far as familial background, as evidenced by his last name, he has Italian ancestors, as well as some Germanic ones. It seems that bizarre personality traits often crop up in the males of the family.
• Personality: Callodes has a bizarre and frivolous, whimsical personality, together with traits of a trickster of some sort that tends to show itself in him saying he'll do or give someone something, but then changing his mind at the last moment. He has very little respect for personal space, often suddenly moving close to people. Callodes has manipulative and Jerkass type qualities to him, though he does show care for members of his "club" (read, group of bullies). He seems to lack understanding of people's feelings, always being almost comically clueless. He also tends to sarcastically note things and hang lampshades all about him. He enjoys Schadenfreude, and he seems to take an even bigger interest if such things start showing up.
• Gifts and abilities: Callodes is a very skilled user of certain hexes and curses, but also in certain healing fields. He is very interested in the Dark Arts, and excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts. He is good with Transfiguration, and has actually tried experimenting in order to combine transfiguration and healing spells into a "powerful, interesting new field". He is a very intuitive, smart boy with a certain charisma to him.
• Weaknesses: He has a strange compulsion to always keep trying to find a lastingly difficult field, and if something becomes too easy, he throws it aside. He can suddenly just stop doing whatever he's doing and decide something else is more important, if what he's doing loses his interest. He tends to have a poor understanding of the feelings of people outside his group.
• Other: Has a Dragon Heartstring wand, he calls it Angeal due to it being made of rare actually-white oak wood of a quercus alba.
• He enjoys Japanese novels and graphic novels / manga, and his favorite is Devilman.

Hesitantly accepted. Be careful with those hexes. Don't want your character getting expelled.

• Magical heritage: A Pureblood House, though one "frowned upon".
• Hogwarts House: Slytherin
• Year: 4
• Appearance: Laureen is a tall, rather muscularly built girl, though she has a slump to her that would indicate a lack of confidence at some level. She has strawberry blond hair, green eyes, and a somewhat plain face, though she could be pretty if she cleaned herself up. It seems her uniform is most often disheveled and rather mussed, as if she spends a lot of her time running.
• Backstory: Laureen Shreve was not born a normal girl. She has had a mental problem as long as she can remember, this being her psychosis. She needs to take some meds every day to keep it down. Most people think of her as a sort of "psycho", even though her episodes are few and far between. She is often seen attending therapy, and generally is not the unrestrained creature most Ax-Crazy people can seem to be.
• Personality: Laureen is a deeply troubled girl, and she usually is actually kind of self depricating. She is usually quiet, and is with Callodes' group because she loves him. She does, though, have a rather cunning mind when its in the correct order and she has some ambition in her, always for Callodes' benefit. She really likes Callodes, but is afraid he will not reciprocate her feelings due to the arranged marriage fiasco. She really does not like it if people insult Callodes.
• Gifts and abilities: She is skilled in darker magic, but she prefers just using defensive spells.
• Weaknesses: Her own instability tends to make her fight strangely when she snaps. Her own need for approval can make her do odd things.
• Other interesting info: Her wand is Veela Hair Core, and is made of oak wood

Well, I can see why you refused Laureen based on that, but Jay...hmm, how can I do that? Can you give me a few tips?

Cut down on the physical violence a tad?
