Curious that you didn't know those two terms despite both of them being tropes. They're among the oldest tropes on the site, for that matter.

I've been catching up on this thread, but I haven't been able to review the images from the game at this time, and likely won't be able to until tomorrow at the earliest.

However, if any two of Discar, Komodin, or Catalogue are certain that their vote should be devil head, I'm fine with taking a verbal tally here and just not worrying about the votes on the queue system. If three panel members know their vote is to "cut", we can do so and then zap it from the queue if necessary.

Um, fan-translated porn manga (or other media) aren't so hard to find online. So, "has been fan-translated" doesn't make sense here...

That being said, I don't know much about the specific work in question anyway but still.

I was not referring to manga when I said that. In fact, I pointedly refuted that argument. 20 pages of manga takes people about a day. 50 hours of gameplay takes people years, especially when you factor in the editing and programming involved.

Well, I said (and other media). But, I doubt finding fan-translations of porn VNs would be too hard either.

Doubt it all you like, but the hard fact remains that the vast, vast majority of works that are fan translated are those of the long plot and story-heavy variety with the incidental small number of H-scenes or even no H-scenes at all thrown in, like Fate/stay night, Steins;Gate, Little Busters! and so on, because the fan translators found them worth the massive amount of time (which can easily run into years' worth of effort) needed to translate, edit and proofread several megabytes worth of pure plaintext, as well as the effort needed to hack the engine and reinsert the scripts, with no pay in return. The shorter games that focus heavily on porn, like some of those in the list of pages that have already been cut, are more the domain of official licensors like JAST and Mangagamer, because people pay money for those and they are dirt cheap to license.

Okay, I know I was involved in the "effort means it's not porn" conversation, but it's becoming a major derail. It's really not relevant to how we judge a work. Sometimes things are porn, sometimes they're not. In this case I'm dropping the pedoshit hammer so the porn question doesn't even matter.

Its also worth noting that jast has released many story heavy games that originally got fan translations also the manga translators often work on commission so they do make some money.

I don't think we have a consensus yet.

Did we ever decide whether this had kid sex scenes or not?

As far as I can tell, the general idea was that they are not kids by the game's own timeline and the narrative treats them as adults, but may subjectively be interpreted to look youngish based on appearance in the game.

Still, what is known of Mangagamer's sales numbers suggests that stuff like Koihime Musou sells better than stuff like Deardrops.

^^^ JAST and Mangagamer are in it to make money. They translate things not because they want to but because they're a business. A fan translation effort is different

I was just nipping the 'jast relessed it it must be porn' argument in the bud they seem to license successful fan translated games as a business model.

I didn't say that, I just said that translated games that focus heavily on the porn as opposed to the story were far more often than not officially translated as opposed to fan translated. I wasn't suggesting that everything that's officially licensed are games that focus heavily on the porn as opposed to the story, especially considering certain titles that have already been released and certain titles that are on the way.
