World of Heroes: Reboot -- Discussion Thread

I'm certainly not against the idea, although I would think - based on the way neural circuits work in real life - that Psychic Static wouldn't prevent Josh from reading your actions in a fight before you take them, at least not completely (unless you're a non-human, as mentioned earlier). To paraphrase, modern neuroscience has demonstrated that our brains prepare in various ways to take an action even before we consciously 'think' of it and become aware that we're doing so, and Scio is a powerful enough telepath/empath to read both conscious thoughts and those impulses.

All this pending KH+'s approval, natch.

It's kinda funny how things worked out, because the one guy who uses Confusion Fu is on the same side as the guys who rely on reading their opponents, like with Awesomeness by Analysis or telepathic empathy.

In response to a post from Insano in the main RP thread; sorry, I must not have realized I was using different names. From here on out; the city is 'Megalopolis', and Robert's last name is 'Mc Cully'. If anyone sees — or posts — differently from now on, then feel free to bring it up.

And darksidevoid, because of this, you might want to look back at your previous posts and change 'Mc Cullen' to 'Mc Cully; just a suggestion.

kk, you're switching the names again...

Well, first off, know that I don't know much about how an average prison would look, but here's the specifics. There's 4 above levels, with a basement beneath; one each of the 4 above levels, 50 prisoners are held, with heroes and villains on each floor, albeit with more villains then heroes. There are many different kinds of traps and containment devices in the prison, due to different prisoner's requiring different containment methods. The exception are those who don't have any real powers to speak of, though they're still kept in the Super prison, as they can still be potentially dangerous. In addition to all that, the electrical outlet that Volt will be going for is on the first floor. That's about all I can tell you.

And by the way, there's a Hero prisoner in the prison that, if you should choose to free him when he shows up, can potentially become a NPC ally in your struggle against the 4 radicals. I'll keep him a surprise for now, but players of the previous version of this RP might know him.

Well, I've gone and updated the wiki page for the old RP to include the reboot. Feel free to go in and add stuff (except for our GM, since he can't get the names right).

@Totemic Hero: Sorry, fixed. I think I'll just call him 'Robert' from now on; it'll make life much easier.

I don't think Kara is taking to my character. I think she'd be messaging Scio, seeing as he seems to be the telepath the post seems to be talking about. I'm just a bunch of biomass that eats people and tears stuff apart.
