Sci ADV: Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes

I wasn't crazy about the song at first, but it grew on me when I listened to it more.

Also, like Robotics;Notes, I bet this will stay console only and thus be untranslated.

It seems that someone is working on a translation of the Steins;Gate fandisk, Hiyoku Renri no Darling! However, they're only uploading the videos to youtube, and it's a bit of a rough translation (though it'll get you through it). Right now the translator is very close to being done, he just has the final part of Faris' route and all of Mayuri's route left.

I know someone who has played it all the way through already, but I turned down his offer to spoil things. All I've heard is that Takuru has it rough, just like the other protags in the series.

Steins;gate 0 is now a thing apparently. Reading Steiner subbed the trailer too.

I recently discovered with great joy that the PS 3 version of Steins;Gate was actually released in game shops in France. And a bit less overjoyed when I discovered that the game is entirely in English − because why bother with a translation when you're releasing a game made almost entirely of text. =___= Especially in a country where most people are known for sucking at English.

Well, I only played through the intro for now. Hearing Mamoru Miyano's voice right off the bat isn't a good start, but anyway! The three characters intoduced are quite intriguing. And after a while I started to think "…Okarin is totally a chuuni, isn't he." Pleasant graphic style for the characters, good atmosphere, and already a few mysteries, so that's pretty engaging so far.

I moved a bit, I'm at Luka's introduction (yeah, I'm slow…). She's, like, the cutest girl I've ever seen in any series. But he's a guy. I'll have to try very hard to remember that I think.

Kurisu's explanations on time travel were surprisingly not boring. Pretty interesting actually. I guess Okarin caused some kind of time paradox during the prologue, but not sure how…

In any case, his narration makes every scene priceless.

Not really a big Ruka fan myself. He's a bit bland.

Long time no see, I kinda stopped coming to these forums. So Steins;Gate 0 is out and is doing amazingly, can't wait for the anime!

I thought you were dead! I don't post here too much myself but it's not a bad place for some news.

So it's kinda futile to hope for a PC port but unlike everything else Sci ADV, this is Steins;Gate, so it might have a chance I hope? If nothing else this one's getting an anime(Meanwhile Chaos Child's anime is looking a little too distant for me) so it's better than nothing.

I have a hard time getting myself interested in this because as I understand it it's a glorified bad end.

At first I wasn't too into it either, mostly because it looked like they were just milking S;G for all it's worth.

But then the anime PV that came out a while ago felt pretty legit. I'm not sure how they'll make this work and feel interesting and fresh, but I do want to see them try.

So I just beat Steins;gate on Vita (4 endings out of 6 the first playthrough blind, then I looked online for the true ending route lol...)

Holy fuck. Like. This was just what I needed. Such a great piece of fiction. Especially love how the texting in the game actually reflects the butterfly effect since you need to have certain convos for the real ending.

Wow, I hadn't read SG in a while… actually, I had to reread all from the start since I had forgotten most details. But I finally finished chapter one. o/

So… This is a story of a chuuni high-schooler college student, his geek buddy and his 10-year-old 16-year-old childhood friend, who connected a cellphone to a micro-wave and accidentally invented time travel by freezing bananas. And now I have to take this story seriously.

I'm surprirsed nobody has tried to reproduce the PhoneWave (name subject to change) in real life. Actually, someone, somewhere, has probably tried…

Steins;Gate 0 is going to be localized this year.

The Chaos;Child anime has been confirmed to air in January 2017. Chaos;Child sounds like Chaos;Head but more interesting, so I hope the anime is good.

I have a bit more free time so I continued this − Okarin just changed the past with the lottery ticket. I try to advance, but the story is SLOOOOOOOOOW. I'm 10 hours in, but this is still mostly setup. =.=

Still, the hilarious characters are enough to keep me hooked. A chuuni mad scientist, a perverted otaku, a Cloud Cuckoo Lander, a closet-otaku Tsundere, a Mail Demon with social phobia, and a gurl who might break if you touch them. All of which came out of the Jitsu wa school of keeping secrets (…well, mostly Okarin >.>). These people hack into top-secret research and basically play God. What could possibly go wrong?

I'm still pretty sure this is all gonna take a dramatic turn, eventually, but so far there's a vibe of kids playing with toys they shouldn't be allowed to have. Maybe all of Okarin's bullshit will turn out to be true? There's something fishy with Suzuha too (those yellow eyes…@.@) And that nightmare was pretty freaky.

PS: So yeah, what's the actual deal with Luka? Are they just a very effeminate guy or a transgender girl? Or were they Raised as the Opposite Gender? I'm confuse. Okarin calls them "he", but it's Okarin…

It sounds like you haven't reached the turning point yet. The question about Luca sort of gets answered by implication, but basically Luca is probably not really transgender but instead simply in love with Okabe. Okabe is a really nice guy and doesn't judge him for being really girl or for being gay when he learns or anything like that, but he's still heterosexual himself and will never return Luka's feelings. That's the main reason Luka seems to wish he was a girl and why I'm using male pronouns here.

In any case, how far into the story are you?

As I said, Christina and Shining Finger have already joined the team (and Luka too now, I guess). Okarin had his freaky dream about being a particle trapped in the event horizon, and he sent the lottery numbers to the past, which no one outside of him remembers. And now he just sent a mail about the "incident" to John Titor. That's where I am.

Ah, gotcha, I know where you are then. You've a fair bit to go before the story gets really serious, but I think the main conflict will start getting set up soon.

…I see. A complex situation indeed. (Retroactive reply. ) But he does want to become a girl… though "become" means that he doesn't consider himself a girl, and he refers to himself as male too… Err, okay, I guess I'll settle on "he" for now, that's simpler. =.="

So now they're trying to outright change Luka's sex through D-Mail. That's taking a lot of risk, for someone who thought he had made Moeka disappear the day before. It didn't work (obviously) but something significant changed apparently… Though it would be kinda funny if Luka did become a girl but that didn't change anything to his life.

Also, Daru's time travel cheat code failing pathetically was hilarious.
