I love the fact that they're playing this so seriously.
Not that I think this won't be awesome, it's just that I feel like they REALLY are running out of ideas out there.
That might be a good thing, though, if films like this are the product.
"I love the fact that they're playing this so seriously."
Reading the book, I seriously almost bought that Lincoln had gone around killing vampires. It really worked hard to intertwine his life with the plot.
Hopefully the movie does just as well.
This is based on a book? And a good book, at that? Jeez...never would have guessed.
Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel — or am supposed to feel — about this movie. When I saw a trailer for it before The Hunger Games, I was left a stuttering mess. It seemed like the stupidest concept I'd ever heard; for a minute, I thought that Hollywood had reached its nadir. Now? Ehhhhhhhhhh...maybe it won't be SO bad (if at all). It might be a stupid movie, but it'll be good stupid instead of bad stupid.
Still...honest Abe as a vampire slayer. It's weird, but I guess stranger movies have happened.
My Wattpad — A haven for delightful degeneracyWhat amuses me most is that there is an actual historical Lincoln movie by Speilberg coming out this winter.
I just saw an add for this on tv.
...
I'll be back once my brain heals from the aneurysm it just suffered.
i. hear. a. sound.It's just a shame that it's focused on pre-beardy Abe.
this place needs me hereNo, he's got his beard in a few of those trailer shots. They'll probably come in the second half of the film, though.
Looking for some stories? The book was actually pretty good. I actually like that the film is serious in tone. The premise is pretty ridiculous but if they don't play it somewhat seriously and respectfully they will end up with Batman and Robin. I think most sane people will agree that the world doesn't need another Batman and Robin.

So now there's no gap between "somewhat serious" and "Batman & Robin"? News to me.
Who uses the words "serious" and "Batman And Robin" in the same paragraph?
Looking for some stories?Amusingly enough, I was just reading a book whose author actually liked Lincoln better without the beard. He even called the little girl who inspired him to grow it a 'dreadful child'.
If I recall, the last third of the book covers his time as president.
What was that book anyways?
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.I believe he means the book this movie is based on.
Looking for some stories? The first book I mentioned was ''Abraham Lincoln", by Lord Charnwood.
The second line was regarding Vampire Hunter.
Such a mistake to marry this movies name/gimmick to such a serious tone. You can't wholly "legitimate"* a movie with this kind of concept.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Media bias at work again: Jefferson Davis destroyed every zombie in ten states, but his story's been in Development Hell for decades. Grumble...
I was watching Prometheus. Trailer of this played.
When title came up, everyone in theater laughed.
You get to see Prometheus already? NOT FAIR.
Prometheus has its own topic.
I feel like the only person who thinks this could be something more than utter crap.
Looking for some stories? No, no, I'm with you. Quite interested.
Me and my friend already have plans to go see it as soon as it comes out.
I'm interested too. Everything I've seen for the film makes me think it's gonna be a lot of fun. That and Mary Elizabeth Winstead......
I regret nothing..
@Mort: Well, it is pretty hard to make silly concept movies made seriously well
Am I the only one getting LXG vibes from the previews? I have a bad feeling about this one.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
Watch a trailer before you start laughing.
I haven't read the book, but I've heard it's good. And this movie definitely seems like a lot of fun.
