I've updated the announcements thread based on what I could find on the voting tool. Tell me if something's wrong or missing.

Chu-Bra... hm. Apparently, this work has fanservicey shots of middle-school girls. Can someone please clue me in on this, and why I shouldn't give it a devilhead?

A series about a middle-school underwear club...yeah, not sure how that couldn't be pedoshit.

@Gilgamesh - My point in the other thread still stands, and whatever you're talking about falls way outside the scope of this subforum. Start an OTC thread about that or something.

I'm going to give you what Raso gave to me on that series when he recommended it for review in that it's a seinen series about a middle school underwear club. So it's aimed at adult men which just makes it weirder in my mind.

According to wikipedia, it's published on a seinen magazine, not josei. So that means it's for men aged 18-30~. Yeaaaaaaaah, too questionable here.

I personally would love to see Chu Bra cut, I think I will play Devil's Advocate in this case... To put it simply, the girls in Chu Bra certainly don't look like preteen Middle Schoolers. They look like they're significantly older than they actually are. In addition, while there is some Fanservice, most of it's focus is on the bras themselves, and the different types, and that sort of thing, from what I've seen of it. It's an Excuse Plot, but not one for Fanservice, though it definitely exists, it's an Excuse Plot to show girls talk about, purchase, and, in general, just do stuff involving bras.

Whoops, mixed those up. Yeah, little girls in underwear for adult men. It's paedoshit. Like I said, thank Raso for recommending it for cut. It's the target audience that damns it. If it were a shoujo series, I'd be more forgiving as it could have been educational aimed at young girls. Aimed at adult men...

Indeed. I don't know how many fics on there are NSFW (Troll Fic in general is pretty much written to piss off as many people as possible), but I'm fairly certain there's a bunch. I do know that Celebrian was a pretty infamous one — it was one of the works pages that got taken down when Glider Guy went on his spree (of which Cthulhu Tech was a notable casualty until its recent reinstatement), but unlike Cthulhutech, I don't expect Celebrian to get reinstated. I just want it reviewed and dealt with.

You can see Chu-Bra on crunchyroll, but I fear to watch it.

I saw it because the one of the presidents of my high school's anime club decided to troll the whole anime club with it. *Sobs.*

If no-one else in this thread has watched it and the situation is still in doubt, I could have a look and give my opinion. Shouldn't take more than half a day if there are only 12 episodes. *prepares for another suicide run*

For the record, "available on crunchyroll" isn't one of our exemptions, correct?

No, it's not. Our exemptions are ratings based and Crunchyroll has no ratings.

We will not accept recommendations to purge anything that meets the following criteria:
  • Is a film rated below "R" for U.S. distribution.
  • Is a show that can be aired on prime time television.
  • Is a video game that is rated below "M" by the ESRB.
  • Is a written work that is sold in major bookstores without an "adult" or "mature" label. *
  • Is an anime/manga/etc. that is approved for U.S. import as a non-adult work.
  • Is read/shown/taught in high school or below.
  • Is in another format and meets equivalent criteria.

Hmmm... looks like a loophole. I'm not sure if the works on Crunchyroll are actually rated.

[up]EDIT: Thanks.

Pyrite: are you outside the US? If so I (and I will probably hate myself for offering) can take the bullet (hail of bullets?) for you.

Edit: Crunchyroll does flag certain videos (Chu-Bra included) as 'suitable for mature audiences (18+) only'
