Playable volus! Oh god, my sides.

Yeah, we have known about this for while :p I'm still little sad.

BTW, you guys missed part that Biotic Orb is reference to that thing "Biotic God" tried to do I think, I suppose it could have been push or pull or something like that too...

Infos about the Volus:

• They can't cover (probally because they won't even reach over it)
• Their heavy melee is a bubble-shield ( not sure if it actually does dmg)
• Their shield-boost power gives shields back to EVERY nearby ally ( Volus are the ultimate support chars)
• Their biotic-orbs can be built to cause a to 3x stackable +15% dmg per stack debuff

To the Collectors:

• Seeker swarms can block ability use (not sure where they come from)
• Assuming-direct-control happens very frequent

There is also a new Friends-only option for public games

Sooo....

Yeah. What that video doesn't show is that Volus cannot melee. Instead, light melee gets them a few seconds of cloaking, and heavy melee puts up a barrier that'll shield you from damage for a while and then reduce damage taken afterwards, as long as you remain immobile and hold the button.

EDIT:Ninja'd on the abilities and such, but at least I have the gameplay!

you got me there... but geez that guy is terribad, you can Macro Ss Missile Massacre orbs and refresh shields every 3-4 seconds and he plays that volus like a soldier -.-

Well I just spent several premium packs and at the end I got a collector rifle and volus engineer! Hooray!

I've bought 3 PSP and have gotten nothing new. Possessed Abominations are so fun. And I think Bioware like explosions for this update. Geth Bombers and Collector Troopers seem to litter the ground with grenades.

Edit: Got a Black Widow III and a Wraith II in a single Premium Spectre Pack. What are the chances?

Oh I forgot to mention that volus are an ultra-rare. That's right they are the only black character cards. Oh Bioware.

From what I've heard, their ultra-rare status is only visual, and they appear at normal gold rarity.

I can see that this is probably the last multiplayer dlc so they decided to go all out on stupid fun suggestions Only thing they could have done to be more ridiculous is to have hanar. With guns.

Well they already gave us a Biotic God, why not give us Blasto?

I'm still holding out hope for Marauder Shields though.

This one wonders if his heat sink is over capacity.

EDIT: I got a volus engineer! Squee! And it's recon drone and shield boost! They're amazing! I'm in love guys. Seriously.

Dammit, why is everything in the DL Cs rare or ultrarare? It's a pain to grind premium spectre packs.

I'm going to make my Volus wield a Claymore. Because it will be hilarious.

Because EA wants you to spend money on the packs, that's why.

Retaliation report.

1. Volus are awesome! Engineers have a Recon Mine which basically acts like a Tactical Scan that you can plant, and with the return of Shield Boost can quickly heal both himself and his allies. Combine that with his light melee being a 3~ second cloak that doesn't drop when using a gun and this guy is invaluable for bunker strategies.

2. Geth Bombers and Cerberus Dragoons are basically bunker busters. Bombers act like, well, bombers and fly through your team and drop several grenades while Dragoons like to spam their Smash attack. Bombers seem to be more about quick kills while Dragoons are more interested in stun locks.

3. Reapers don't get new units. Marauders and Cannibals however are now capable of execution.

4. Maps have been modified. New routes have been made while several cover spots have been altered or removed entirely while some ammo crates have been removed.

Ok, that last part may not rustle my jimmies, if there are still plenty ammo cache around.

AFAIK Glacier only had one ammo crate removed (the one at the far back, down the steps). White had the one outside the room moved like 5 feet to accommodate the new ramp that opened up.
