I just went through the first episode.
...dafuq did I just watch
Greatness.
Another episode. It continues with just the same amount of craziness. I'm beginning to think that large doses of Nyarko's genkiness may be harmful to normal humans, so it's a good thing Mahiro is there. He seems to be just about the only one who can stop her. Well, it's still early, so that may chance. Still, I think that balance is so far very well done. She pulls him around a lot, but his mastery of the fork makes it not overpower the story. Or, well, anime.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. How good is this?
Hard to say, so far. It seems built up like your generic harem / Magical Girlfriend comedy anime with an Eldritch Abomination-tan as the girlfriend.
Whether or not you like it probably depends on if you like the characters or genre. It's not extremely high or low quality.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I concur.
I have to say I love Nyarlko's Motor Mouth tendencies.
Leave your SAN at the door. You likely failed several saves anyway to continue watching this show.
And talk about stating the obvious: a "flaming" lesbian.

Nyarlko's take on the "Dinner, a bath or wa-ta-shi?" cliche was pretty character-defining, as if we hadn't already figured out what a lovable troll she is. "Why are all of my choices 'you??'"
And tons of Shout-Out again LAST BULETTO!!!!

I think what made me crack up the most was the "Cola of Cthulhu" gag.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI'm not familiar with the mythos, but can someone tell me how far off Cthuga is from the traditional cthulhu?
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...
Cthugha is a Great Old One, and is one of the late additions to the mythos by Derleth — you know, the guy who tried to shoehorn in a Good vs. Evil axis. Cthugha, who was opposed to the Elder Gods (the entities who in one way or another sided with Humanity), is obviously on the "evil" side.
Incidentally, if I remember correctly Cthugha was also created to fill the "fire" element in Derleth's elemental theory for the Outer Gods. "It" was also first summoned in-universe to drive away an avatar of Nyarlathothep.
Also add this to the Shout-Out list: all the LN covers correspond to the battle pose of a specific Kamen Rider. Observe [1]◊ !

R'lyeh is a theme park. There's an eldritch lesbian. Tons of shout outs (gando rowa!) and great visual gags. Nyarlko is still damn hilarious. I love this show so much.
Pretend I just said that in motor-mouth.
The first one isn't in that image. .-.
Until they make a SAN Check reference it's not complete.
Nous restons ici.
Somewhat more complete image, including the two variant covers for Volume 9: [1]◊ For the Kamen Rider geeks, the two covers obviously reference Kamen Rider Black and Kamen Rider Black RX.
Ok, attempted to watch this. NOTHING is worth putting up with this Crunchroll crap. I watched the same goddamn ad something like 15 times in the course of one episode. Why does it play the same ad THREE TIMES when first starting it? And then TWICE every commercial break.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984the first volume is still absent. ._.
Because you didn't subscribe to Crunchyroll, which would have meant no ads and no waiting a week for the episode to become available? 'Cause, honestly, you're complaining about a free, legal streaming service - they have to make money from you one way or another.

The. Same. Damn. Ad. Multiple. Times. Per. Ad. Break. I'm not complaining about ads, I'm complaining about seeing the same fucking Citibank ad a dozen times in fifteen minutes.
On a positive note, doesn't seem to be as goddamn stupid as Demonsbane.

This is why I usually just find a sub elsewhere if I can. or use Hulu.
I'm pretty sure they did. IIRC, it was when Nyarko said that she could have shown Mahiro other forms, but it would cost him his sanity. It cut to what I think was Call Of Cthulhu with 2d10s being rolled.

You mean her [1]?
