It's ending as a monthly title at Issue 14. But the stories that Scott Snyder wanted to tell will still continue.
Too easy!
All-star Batman, left of center? Have we been reading the same book? Or is this not the infamous tale of The Goddamn Batman?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Different book. This one is in the mainstream DCU canon, and is mostly about Batman training Duke Thomas as his new sidekick. It's kind of a weird book, with gadgets such as "pectoral speakers" popping up.
Harley and Ivy should throw the bachelorette party.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Pec Woofers? That makes so much sense. It's beautiful.
But having an ASB when we had ASBAR is a tad confusing.
Btw, I love how ASBAR tried and failed where the LEGO Batman Movie succeeded.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. All of the Development Hell of Batman Returns revealed.
Phantasm may be the best Batman Movie, Dark Knight may be the best Joker movie, but Returns is my favourite, from the moment Penguin's baby carriage floats along the sewer to the moment Catwoman's head appears in the foreground.
I want to read those cut Batruce lines, though.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I really enjoy the audiovisual aesthetic of the Burton movies. I don't think there's been a superhero film quite like them since.
How's Detective Comics if I'm a fan of Tim, Cass and Steph?
Superhero films nowadays don't go for Gothic Noir. They go for Action Bland. Or Big Budget Dark Action Blockbuster Spectacle Extravaganza, in the vein of Transformers and the Mummy.
Last supes movie I remember with a distinct and cohesive aesthetic was Guardians of the Galaxy.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Uhhhh......
How is Cass doing in the current arc?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Tim is in the first arc only, but will be back at the end of September. Stephanie is currently in a "Batman is horrible and needs to be taken down" mood. Cassandra got barely any focus for the first three arcs and one crossover, and then got an arc that just ended. Her speech difficulties seem to have gone out the window last issue thought, with the explanation that "she listened to a performance of The Tempest a few times and now can recite Shakespeare word for word with no problems".
That makes me irrationally angry.
I'm going to read the Kelly Puckett Batgirl series instead. I think there's only one volume of that left anyway and it has the issue where Cass goes on a date with Superboy and pierces his impregnable force field.
The author has been presenting her speech problems really weirdly. It started out with her barely being able to string two words together for the first 24 issues, but then she's suddenly literally doing Shakespeare.
Well that's sad. I liked that she had a speech impediment, its one of her key features.
That is a weird handling.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Who knows, with how inconsistent he's been in regards to characterization, she may not be able to speak again next issue.
Talking exclusively in Shakespeare quotes would be a hilarious and interesting gimmick, but not for her.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I don't see any inconsistency with Cass's speech. She's learning, and the method is reasonable (and a fun payoff to something from the last arc), and I don't think the implication is she's only practiced "a few times".
Huh? Good characterization is the highlight of this book.

My stories on AO3.On Batman-News they hate everything after Night of the Monster Men that is happening in Detective Comics.
Some of the comments hated that "Batman has to constantly get shown up in Detective Comics by other members of the Batfamily" and one comment was about the Metal Tie-ins about the Evil Batman from the Dark Multiverse they wanted them to kill every member of the Batfamily in Detective Comics so it would no longer be a Batfamily book and become a Batman solo book.
I don't know I personally love Detective Comics. Though I didn't get a chance to read last weeks issue since it is still on its way to my house.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm not sure where people are getting the idea her speech impediment vanished. She's able to recite lines from a play flawlessly, presumably because of repetition and practice. When she starts having a casual conversation with Clayface afterwards, she still speaks in the same broken manner. ("Wanted to be free?")

The problem is that
A) We haven't seen any of this progress. We haven't seen her practice, we just see her performing The Tempest with no hiccups.
B) Fans of the character (such as myself) don't want her to be able to speak English to that level. Part of what makes her interesting is the fact that she's barely able to speak. Removing that is a move we don't want the author to make.
Oh that's how it is? Well alright then I misunderstood things, that's pretty cool.
So about those Evil Batmen judging by the previews they sent out can anyone make the guesses as to who they are? From the easy one like the Joker-Batman & Flash-Batman to harder to tell ones.
They should show progress. I'm okay with her slowly learning to speak better but she still needs to have major problems actually doing so.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And again, immediately afterwards, she reverts to her old speech style, indicating that she didn't lose her handicap. That's a common thing with people learning new languages. It's why the trope of foreigners being able to recite common English phrases or famous pop culture quotes despite having an overall tenuous grasp on the English language is a thing.
I've seen several people make that same complaint and then I wondered if they actually read it.

All-Star Batman ending
