I just feel some things really don't need to be listed.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Because it's the truth. Like it or not, Naughty Tentacles is a trope, and deserves to be documented as much as any other trope.
On what reasoning? On this site, if something is tropable, it gets documented and listed as a trope. That is the only standard by which we measure whether or not we should have a trope article: Tropability. Your standard of "if the concept is creepy or is a creepiness magnet, it should not be documented, whether or not it's tropable", however, is pretty much the definition of Prudishness, even if you don't believe it is.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I'm a prude because I don't feel a wiki needs a disturbingly detailed page on tentacle rape. Pure logic.
Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.We don't want a disturbingly detailed page of it at all. We want a neutral page on it, and no examples are needed. That's our goal.
If that means no page image, a re-write and no examples, so be it.
Well, it's hard to find a NSFW image, not to mention, it's very easy to describe the action in a non-squick way without an image.

Quest 64 threadNo, you're a Prude because you think that a page on tentacle rape should be axed from this wiki despite it fitting the official requirements for staying. And yes, that is how you are coming across from your previous posts.
No image is going too far. A SFW image should suffice, given that there several instances of SFW works using a version of the trope that is obviously a PG-13 parody of the porn version, like Mai Hime.
That, too.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Finding a SFW image for a page about tentacle rape will be impossible by an average person's standards. Why do we need to have an image for it and how the fuck is not giving it an image "going too far?"
I'm not a prude! God damn it, you guys will throw that word around at anything!

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Have you read No Lewdness No Prudishness? That is the definition of prude that is being used. Much like we've appropriated the word "trope" to our needs, we are working with that definition of "prude".
And Eddie himself judged the current (or formerly current, haven't actually checked the page), image on Naughty Tentacles to be fine.
Apparently he changed his mind.
You don't like endless paragraphs and pictures of tentacle rape, ergo you are a prude.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!http://www.thefreedictionary.com/prude prude (prood) n. One who is excessively concerned with being or appearing to be proper, modest, or righteous.
Yeah, I'm sticking by my assertion.

I'm not being a prude.
And by prude, I mean the proper use, not your utterly odd way of using it.
Being a prude means getting grossed out at anything remotely sexual. Most people outside this place wouldn't call someone a prude for not being fond of an obsessively detailed page on tentacle rape.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.OK, knock it off and chill out. Everyone.
While this conversation is certainly edifying it isn't contributing much to the topic.

I fail to see how this image◊ is less SFW than most of the Fanservice tropes' article images.
And like I said, it doesn't really matter if you don't believe that you're being prudish about this issue. Your actions and declarations mark you as prudish as per the No Prudishness policy. You have an unnecessarily conservative view of how this wiki should run, which evidently is not shared by the overwhemling majority of the troper community, let alone the mods and even the admin himself.
Uh, does anything I said here need to be axed?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.@Firebert: ...Actually, that's not being a prude.

Quest 64 threadIf you would feel comfortable viewing that at work or school, then you have weird teachers or bosses.
That is just not SFW. At all. Just because she isn't naked doesn't mean automatically mean it is totally SFW.
That seems to be the opposite of what many of you are stating. Just saying.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Everyone stop making value judgments about each other. NOW
I wasn't serious, it'd be crazy to think it was actually prudish
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Fine. Fine. Apologies.....
Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Alright, alright.
Regarding the image: By that logic, we should take down much of the Fanservice and Rule of Sexy tropes' article images. You have a strangely strict definition of "SFW".

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Come on, it's a girl about to get raped and is getting groped by tentacles. How could anyone deem that SFW?
No I don't.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.Getting back on-topic, that image is actually suggestive, but not unsafe for work at all.
It gets near NSFW though.
Quest 64 threadThere is no image that would work on the Naughty Tentacles page. If it's a genuine, explicit example, it's NSFW. If it's something like that image or a tongue-in-cheek nonexample, it's creepy because we're showing a nonexplicit image and encouraging viewers to examine it as if it were an explicit image.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!Would any of you feel comfortable viewing that at work?
Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.
By your logic, we shouldn't have any of the tropes on the Rape Tropes index at all, which is not conducive to the TV Tropes mission.
That's the purpose of an examples list. The only reason it's become a problem now is because a few someones appear to have threatened to complain to Google (our main ad service) for the "obscenity" of the examples page, which carries a high risk of Google judging that we are not compliant with their terms of service and thus cut off the site's main source of revenue, which means we can't pay the site's maintainence fees to the server company hosting it. If we're lucky, this whole thing might end up with Naughty Tentacles actually restored to its original form (with the requiste clean-up of any gushing or creepiness in particular examples, of course).
