Man this shows how shallow & overblown Naruto's "friendship" with Sauce is. They are not friends, at best they have a mutual understanding but that does not make you friends.
A real friend is there for you in times of need whether physically or not & genuinely wanting to help you. What Shikamaru did qualifies as being an actual friend.
