Here's what I didn't tell you:
The three power roles were the Sleuth (cop), Keymaster (jailer), and Freelance Alien Hunter (it's... complicated)
The Sleuth's investigations were a test for Genius/Outsider. If Speedchesser had investigated Patchwork Space (the Hunter), he would have found she was an outsider, because the Hunter infiltrated Da Vinci in order to investigate and neutralize the alien threat.
I made the Hunter a little powerful in that she had two abilities: Scan tested for Human/Alien, and because ET bounty hunters usually have to take action themselves, a one-shot night kill that would have exposed the presence of a Hunter. However, I also double-whammied her. As well as having passive guilt to the Sleuth, one random player (thespacephantom) would read as an Alien, but perfectly innocent and not even aware of his mixed parentage himself.
But, thanks to luck, logic, and some gutsy moves that didn't pan out, the only part of my nifty scheme that actually came into play was that the first night An Editor locked up Imposter Braincogs, resulting in a blood-free evening.

Fresh-eyed movie blogVictory!
-cheers in all 147 languages
I'm in for the next round.
Fixed.
Yeah, victory! -does ridiculous dance-
I'm in for next as player or GM.
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.WOOHOO! WE WON! I was right about my theory, too!
Up for next round.
-Brains 'Cogs with a thick book, and with an audible "ding!" sound- Baka.
In for next round.
Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.Dude, you were his partner.
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.Yeah, and Cogs started a bandwagon on him on day one, resulting in them both getting offed.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIn for next round.
I meant the comparatively cheerful way he talks about it.
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.'Cogs always votes all over the place on D1, and he usually votes for me at some point or another. He was trying to both stay in character, and convince people that I was town. He just had sketchier evidence than usual, so the latter part of his plan didn't take.
What gets me is that he didn't even give me a heads-up, much less ask what I thought of it. Dude had to have the first post. A scum player should never be the first one to post; he could get bandwagonned by goddamn accident.
EDIT: Tone is in the eye of the reader. If I were feeling particularly endeared to him, I wouldn't be imagining a book-shaped dent in his cranium right now.

Er... you know what? Never mind.
On a side note, I think you were both playing well. You were just playing well individually. You didn't seem to cooperate too successfully this time, maybe.
Anyway... if noone else wants to GM the next, can I?
Edit: Cool. I love a massive enthusiastic response.

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.Well, there wasn't really time to coordinate that. Should games begin with a night phase, or would that give the mafia too much advantage?
Fresh-eyed movie blogThat was neat! I'll be in next round, I guess.
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIHow do you feel about potentially getting vigilante killed on a false positive?

Fresh-eyed movie blog@Paradox: Nah, I don't think it's fair to the townies.

Fresh-eyed movie blogIn for next round. I believe I can post more often, now that my colon infection had been cured.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need! How did everybody feel about my timeliness?
I would have liked to see this setup use some more of the special things I laid out, but if I GM again, I'll mix things up in an entirely different way.
Fresh-eyed movie blogYeah, the night thing. Some poor bloke gets eliminated before the game even starts, and the town could very well start minus one power role.

Well, I don't mean a nightkill. Just night time communication.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI'll be in for this one.
With four votes, Braincogs is trepanned. His yellow blood belies him immediately.
