Yeah, if its in vest with a MP 5 its a normal cop in heavy gear. Its what they wear in places like airports and main train stations usually.

This details that are emerging suggest that he has no obvious links to radical Islamist groups, but seemed to have a keen fascination with spree shooters. The shooter in a witness video also spoke about living a welfare area and having no choice but to get a gun, and there are also rumors that he is a recent convert to Christianity.
I got say, if even half of this stuff turns out to be true then we can expect coverage and analysis of this incident to drop like a stone, at least in english language media, I'm not sure about elsewhere.

Apparently, these folks were kids. In which case, if true, OW. When I went to school in Germany the school ran a sort of seminar about behaviour on the Internet and one of the things said was to never do this exact thing, to meet someone you don't know personally after encountering them on the Internet.

Apparently there's been a machete attack by Syrian refugee in Reutlingen, Germany. According to eye-witnesses, after a brief argument with a woman, the man killed her with the blade. Two others have also been wounded. The police have said that the man in question is known to have been involved in other violent episodes.
