Also, to clarify: I like Borderlands, at least when I play it with my friends. I just found it odd that he'd rather play it than ME 3 multiplayer when they're basically the same thing. Except one's more brown.

Only in the most superficial ways they are similar.

Borderlands 2 is much more frenetic and fast, and the guns much more crazy than any of it's peers.

And yes, joy puke is a thing

Also, the tone of the two games is drasticly different.

Even when you are shooting the face of a bandit from a hundred paces away, it's still funny instead of just eviscerating.

I just watched that trailer, because it's awesome, and there's a whole bunch of stuff there that never made it to the game. There's a different loader design, Tannis hanging out somewhere frosty, a lava crab monster from the first game (there aren't any in 2) and a thresher in an ice zone.

FALSE ADVERTISING!

That said, shame about the lavacrabs and that badass*

I had the weirdest/badassiest Mass Effect related dream ever last night.

It was some section on Virmire battling asari commandos, I was an adept in colossus armor, and I was using powers that were never in the game, but should have been; there was a green biotic pimp-hand that sent bitches flying, a high-powered version of Lash that hurtled foes to certain doom, and this one power that created a deadly biotic energy blade, that in the power menu, allowed you to draw how far and at which angle you wanted to strike multiple people.

Then I woke up. Goddammit.

Mukora; I am playing a game that is much faster paced. Has a large assortment of weapons, I am not relying on buying a mystery pack of nebulous value, if I don't like what I see offered I don't have to buy it, my grinding isn't fighting the exact same map 5 times in the same day with same 3 enemy sets, There is no camel toe robots, star brats, or space magic super weapons. The characters you play have more pesonality then the intelligent bricks that are MP ME 3 characters, coop nets you harder enemies but better item drops, there are reasonably interesting vehicle sections, and a host of interesting and varied enemies. Also the various quests are quite a bit more interesting then most of the ME 3 quests in general and definetly leagues ahead of the wave specific goals of the MP game.

You bet your ass I am playing Border Lands 1 and 2 over Mass Effect 3 MP.
